Because kuribo was the only real opposition to the Meanmelter wagon, and he started the Meanmelter wagon by catching Meanmelter's slip. If you're town I'm guessing that kuribo calling out Meanmelter was a bussing attempt gone wrong, and kuribo jumped on your wagon to distract us and save his buddy.
