I didn't win my lane, I was vs. Master Yi and an AP Nidalee, and my Alistar didn't come top until after I was level 6 and after I had already died. I got denied hard under my tower but luckily they TOOK my tower so then I could farm more.
I built offtank because I was really behind, and managed to go like 4/4/16 end game

Do it with TF when you get specifically counterpicked to vs. mid-Rumble. It's fucking hilarious when their counterpick gets the same farm as you, no kills on you, then their entire team gets shit on lategame because you have too many items and still had more effect on the game from ulting and making plays midgame.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

1v1 is kinda pokeman-y in that if you get a very unfavorable matchup, you're hosed for however long it takes for them to knock down the towers after they super-effective your ass.
