I also don't have experience with scum rolefishing in the sense that I could not point to a particular post in a finished game and quote a scum quicktopic to prove that the player in question was clearly rolefishing. Still, there are various way in which you can enter a discussion regarding powerroles, and encouraging other players to give info away is not a pro-town one.
This is a scummy paragraph.
I disagree with the IceGuy votes. Unless my opinion changes, I will defend him if he's in danger of getting lynched.
Looking over Michel's posts, they give me a very scummy feeling, but I don't feel that I would be able to convince anyone of him being scummy very well.- IceGuy

Unvote, Vote Amrun
IceGuy's attitude is totally unhelpful but feels more like overly paranoid townie than scum to me.
@DV, would still like to hear an answer to this:

Because your reason for switching was because the wagon wasn't going anywhere, and you didn't really do anything to change this. Having your votes determined by which wagons are moving and which aren't limits your influence on the game as town.- scooby

D) All of the Above
But nah really, he could be a mafia role cop and just try to fish out names of strong leaders so he can know the power or be some sort of third party lover shtick who's trying to search for someone else in order to fill his own win-con or be a town lover... something like that."I give up on trying to read you. You're unimaginably scummy, with a dose of ultra-Town thrown in for spice."- McStab

I've reread most of the game, and so far I've come to these conclusions:
I don't like either half of the IceGuy/MattP interaction. I think IceGuy's responses could be either town essentially softclaiming a PR without wanting to elaborate, or scum trying to avoid pressure and simultaneously rolefishing (going back all the way to his first posts).
MattP's pressure and aggressiveness has struck me as townish, but there's been some pretty blatant rolefishery going on with the IceGuy situation. Given that I'm inclined to think, based on his own rolefishing earlier, that IceGuy is scum, I'd say this indicates that MattP is town. I'm fairly confident that they're different alignments though; I doubt scums would both rolefish so obviously and try to force each other to claim.
I don't really have much meta knowledge on anyone here except Bitmap, and he hasn't struck me as that scummy this game. DeasVail's analysis is helpful, but there's a few too many town-null reads on there for me to be totally comfortable with him.

Why are too many townreads a problem? Generally its the otherway around with too many scumreads being bad because that player is setup to join almost any wagon. If deasvail is scum all he is doing is putting himself into a rather tight spot since he is restricting the amount of wagons he is willing to join.Sarcasm isnota scumtell.- MattP

^^^This.
I think DCL's posting was very defensive and somewhat scummy closer to the start of the game, but it's recently taken on a town tone. Trying to prevent a massclaim and providing a smart reason why (namely, you're only going to catch stupid scum in a nameclaim, whereas town could give scum indicators on PRs) makes sense to me, and I doubt scum would bring up this point, even if they don't actively push for a massclaim.
I see too many townreads as strange, at this stage of the game. Townvibes may emerge Day One, but as a member of the uninformed majority, I frequently get scumvibes from more players than I do townvibes. With no flips and no reference point to go off, I personally have a sense of paranoia Day One, and so I'm still somewhat concerned about the amount of townreads he has at this stage of the game. That being said, his play hasn't been particularly scummy, but his large amount of town and null reads really stuck out to me.- IceGuy
