Stupid supports are amazingly successful in (low elo, at least) solo queue when played by people who know how to play them. People generally don't know how to play against them.

People are going 4-6 and getting placed into silver 5 so you don't have much to worry about. Don't sweat it, win half your games and you get a mulligan too. See you in Olaf's Sorcerers!

Support teemo is good for a kill lane. And the blind is fairly useful against an AD carry.

Got whole teamed, Lilg almost got whole teamed, then they tried to whole team Garen immediately after but DH shit on them.

The AP ratio is changing from 1.5 all the time to 0.2 (no fury) - 1.2 (max fury)

This nerf needed to happen. With the high base AP ratio, players could sit back with high AP and CDR making him impossible to harass and push out of lane. Hopefully AP Tryndamere will still be a viable pick if you're consistently building fury, but champions that can zone him away from the minion wave won't find his heal so overwhelming.

I haven't started ranked yet, and I was kinda excited about it thinking it might be less derpy than normals, but reading some of the stories you guys tell in this thread tells me that may not be true. Just asking cause I know Nid is at least decent and gets played regularly, and she's on sale. I really want a good adc besides the ones I have. Corki is okay but short range and I blow as Twitch.

Good pocket carries to have are Graves and Caitlyn. Both are really good in solo queue, are easy to pick up and be decent at, and neither of them ever get banned.

Ranked is special. That's all that I can really say about that.
It's not as "random" as normals... but it's still really special lol. I personally like playing ranked more than normals though.

It's the same people who play there. Doesn't change a bit how derp they are (but this time they are "seriousmode" which simply means they are more on edge).

Nid isn't an adc, is a painful mid to use, and is a good top to shut the opponent down.

I would caution against hopping into ranked just from your champion pool, but really it's up to you when you 'feel' ready. Too many peeps hop into it, get placed really low, and get frustrated, causing a perpetual cycle of negativity revolving around them when they play league of legends. But really it's just when you 'feel' it.

I still blame Froggen for making people play AP nid mid. He's abusing her mobility there, while most people can't. And people seem to think that AP = mid. While nid brings nothing an average mid brings (or even needs).

Further, it's just really hard to win a game in soloqueue with it, because people don't get that ap nid doesn't actually have any presence in teamfights and stalling/poking is quite beyond the average player. Meaning that half the time where you are winning, some bruiser will happily dive a tower you are sieging and is subsequentely surprised no damage came from behind him.

The funny thing is, in LCS S3 so far, AP Nid has seen success whereas too lane bruiser Nid has lost every game so far (at least, all 3 games I know of).

Yeah, obviously AP Nid is most effective for people who play her best, but the same can be said for any champ/build, really
