Taric wrote:Speed C - He became faster with the buff. He was beyond slow before the buff but he's still on the slower side. It's his weakness but it's eventually overcome.
Resilience A - He's support and his item build is so efficient and easy to obtain that he'll be able to overcome even the most harshest of harassment jobs. He really is just a bit too perfect right now. He will get nerfed though.
Build S+ - His build is beyond ridiculous in its effectiveness. He's a support by nature so his build options are incredibly varied however his most optimal build is also one he can easily obtain from the jungle. Most of his builds are now double and triple dipping in value and giving him more effective gold. The best way to explain this is to use one of his most effective items as an example. If Taric purchases a Frozen Heart it adds mana to his build which increases his mana and damage (passive), gives him cooldown reduction thus increasing his damage even further as well as his utility, and armor which increases his damage even further and self tankiness all while also powering up his team aiding abilities like his heal and his two incredibly powerful auras. It is simply ridiculous how cost effective items are on him right now and how well he makes use of jungle gold.
Sustain D+ - Before anyone goes "omg but his heal" please understand that health is not the only thing that needs to be considered here. His mana is simply atrocious. Even with blue he goes dry. Hell his heal suffocates his mana too. Eventually his mana heavy build will fix this but it's a pretty big issue early.
Ganking A+ - It's a point and click stun. It's pretty standard that junglers shouldn't be allowed to have that.
Dueling A - He's super tanky, good cooldowns, pretty high damage as long as he shatters on someone and can spam his heal in prolonged fights. He's pretty stupid right now. God help you if he has cooldown reduction and mana.
Invasion A - Really stupid dueling and too tanky to actually kill. He outright destroys camps once he has his ultimate. Some may say "why use his ultimate to clear?" well the thing has a very short cooldown and completely destroys even buff camps and can annihilate someone in a duel. It's ridiculous at the moment.
Transition - How do I even begin here? He's a support by nature so he has a great transition as a given. With his optimal build be becomes incredibly difficult to kill, is able to spam abilities, provides his team with incredible auras, deals respectable damage, heals, can pseudo initiate, can be the perfect bodyguard...it just goes on and on. Frankly put he's a Mundo that spreads the wealth. If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?

Yes but that's really late game. The AP carries I mentioned can 100-0 by level 6 with little to no items.
Lux really can't without some prior damage, the other two are super-bursty. Sona's more like Swain. Sona also enables ganks hardcore.I don't have anything to put here because my normal signature is images. Weeeeee.- Oman

Damn. Ghostfrog and I met a Middlesticks main in a ranked game a couple hours ago who basically stomped most of the game. Quickly looking at his games over the past few days, he's won in lane against a Malzahar, Lux, Xerath, Evelynn, 2 Twisted Fates, Zed, and a Malphite. He went even against another Lux and lost lane against an Orianna once. It's been a while since I've seen someone excel at something unorthodox like this.- mykonian

Because those three promote a different kind of play, really. Half the beginning adc's you let that play will play them like ad casters, meaning their lategame (when played that way) isn't what it could be. And I dislike playing next to such peopleSurrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.- Matias

Carrying games as sona feels really good sometimes. Went from being solo bot against a Quinn and Taric (our ADC yi...you heard me right...was DCed for 8 minutes then just sat in lane getting no feed; our top Jax was DCed for 6 minutes though, so) to destroying them as I went 3/0/20. #soloqsuccess, fuck this soloq problem noise. It's just stupidly fun to shit on one of the best champs in the game because you are the hardest counter in the game. Teemo's just hilarious. I got FB by flash igniting + AAing him under tower and just walking away with W and waiting for it. Singed got me to 1/3rd after I took some tower shots thanks to my DoT, and Hec came in to gank. I had no wards, but I had the river + tri shroomed, and he ate 3 of them. I walked to him, and thanks to Liandry's, I just blew him up on the spot.

One of my ranked games today:
Was 2nd pick purple, called mid. Top, support, and ADC got called as well. Bans happen, and we notice Malph is open.
Me: Hey top, can you play Malph?
Top: I can, but I don't own him. =/
Me: Mind letting me top then? I can play him well.
Top: Sure. I'll be taking mid then.
Support: Going support nid
Me: Could you please not?
Support: I'm good with her, dw
Me: Alright, great.
So I take Malph, and enemy Garen shows up. I'm waiting for them to pick a carry so I see who I can break, and boom. Urgot last picked. Game starts, I ask if Cait she knows how to deal with Urgot since he's uncommon. She replies in the affirmative. Lane starts, and it's going pretty well for me. Garen's pushing pretty hard, but I'm not missing any creep and I'm in great position to FB him when Vi ganks. Lane continues. Cait gives up FB and I'm sad, but w/e, I wreck every carry and I'm stacking armor/health anyway. I tab to check out the game, and Vi is super behind. (she admitted later she did not know how to jungle and just picked it because the rest was called) 12 minutes pass, and I finally give up a death in a Lee gank, barely missing getting Garen out of the deal. Still no ganks from Vi, despite Garen pushing 24/7. Cait and Nid feed more, Vi feeds, and Kass is even with a few deaths. Vi finally visits my lane after I've shoved it to tower. She botches the gank by approaching from the front, but my RQ + tanking the tower get her the kill anyway. Teamfights start and we're 8 kills and a few towers down. I blow up Viktor with REQ. and catch Urgot with it too. Kass jumps him and we win the teamfight. Next teamfight starts before my ult was up, and they ace us and push. I respawn and ult them as they were retreating from inhib. Q and randuin's slow them enough for us to get 4 kills out of the deal, and I got a double. Garen comes on in allchat: GG, viktor ragequit.
We proceed to roll the 4v5 and win, with our Kass saying (clearly the best of the other 4 and super fed now) "GG, malphite carred. We'd have lost without him."

Does anyone know how exactly the system decides if you go up one or multiple Divisions after winning a Promotion Series? I've heard of people moving up two or more at a time, and am in the middle of my first Series and wondering how that works? Doesn't really matter, I suppose. Lost my first game so I need to play better in the next two.(11:04:10 PM) senspizzaline: That's actually my bold prediction for the year
(11:04:19 PM) senspizzaline: Miami finishes 2nd in the AFCE.

I think its something to do with MMR rating, which also translates into how much LP you get per win. If you're only getting +5-10 LP a win, then you don't deserve to move up in division yet, so you move up slowly.
However if your rating is great and you're gaining 20+ LP a win, I think it'll push you up 2 divisions after a series.Fate is absurdly beautiful. 運命に弄ばれる

I haven't actually seen anybody play Jungle Taric since the first few days after the changes... when they realized that beyond novelty he wasn't a very good jungler.-

I've only been playing LoL for like 2 months now, if that. I'm level 20... does competition get drastically better after 30?
I played Dota(a lot) way back in the day, and actually just started messing with Dota2. Anyways, I really like Lux, and dominate often with like a 3-4 KD ratio and a 1-2 K-assist ratio so an avg game might see me 8-2-16... etc etc. So again, does it get harder?"ITT Benmage is making Shakespeare look cool. Are you winning substantially more than 50% of your games?
If yes, then your hidden Matchmaker Rating (MMR) is continuing to climb, and you are being matched with better and better people until you get to a point where you win approximately as often as you lose. As you then keep getting better, your MMR continues to rise. In essence, once you have played a significant number of games, you should always be getting matched with people who are about as good as you are.
If you are not winning substantially more than 50% of your games, though, then you are not actually dominating your games, despite the KDA ratios seeming like it, and you need to work on getting from you being fed to the enemy nexus being destroyed.(11:04:10 PM) senspizzaline: That's actually my bold prediction for the year

Ahhh see I didn't realize it was already scaling me pre lvl 30....I gotcha.... that's a bit harder. I'd say with Lux my win rate is probably near 80%. I defintely am a team player, ADC is my last choice(especially melee)(and I'm not a confident jungler). I like tanks/supports and mid casters.
Like I said, I'm new to LoL even thought I have this type of game experience, and just tend to be a solid gamer.
I like to play the new weekly heros each at list once or twice (some more if I like them)... just to better understand how those heros work. As I clearly haven't unlocked many. And so these game I lose a lot more then when I'm Lux, or hero's I'm more use to using. Plus I've played all sorts've twisted, as again I didn't think these games mattered much. Good to know.
As always it is a team game, and I generally try and be a team player/leader.
Suprising... my online name is Benmage if anyone wants to play sometime.
@Fate. Veigar, ugh what an annoyingly easy hero, lich bane with enough AP equals ult auto attack-- kill on any AP hero."ITT Benmage is making Shakespeare look cool. I need to bring you to my high school." -Vi

For the 'pre-30'/'Normal' Queue, you have the MMR that you have been playing with (and adjusting) since you started. Once you hit 30 and can play Ranked games, you will have a new MMR for that, which will stay separate to the Normal MMR. So if you at better than average by the time you get to 30, youwillfind the first few games fairly easy until your Ranked MMR adjusts to your skill level.(11:04:10 PM) senspizzaline: That's actually my bold prediction for the year

Yes, it's all based on MMR. If your MMR is higher than your division/tier represents, then you will gain more LP for a win than you lose for a loss. If the difference is big enough, it will push you through two divisions when you win a series.- xRECKONERx

He's actually a damn good jungler with insane dueling capability and a strong gank once he has mobility boots. I've been messing around with him and it's really good. His clear times aren't S2 Mundo levels of godliness or anything, but he can lock champions down with his stun, shred armor with his shatter, and once he gets his ultimate he's basically a walking BF Sword + Needlessly Large Rod. Having that on a one minute cooldown makes objective taking a breeze, and I hear objective taking is pretty important on junglers.green shirt thursdays - xRECKONERx
