This is basically "null". Why? Because most of their postings and interactions are hidden behind PAGES of posts of others and I don't (or didn't) have a definite read on them. Do you accept null reads from others? So how is this different?

If the players that were currently under lynch threat are all town then letting town take a policy lynch on some other townie today means that I'm tomorrow's likely mislynch. Also, once I flip I'm predicting a whole lot of finger pointing and recriminations. That's why a couple players distancing from what looks like a town consensus that I'm probably scum is starting to bother me.

So how would you characterize your town play versus your scum play?

I don't think I have a handle on what my forum play looks like yet, or what I want it to look like. But like most people, I try to play them similarly. As either faction I'm quiet and I'll let others talk over me, that's just indicative of my personality really - not making waves. As town I can be insecure in my reads, I rely a lot on intuition (this is simpler in real life), and I find building wagons difficult. I'm slow to vote and sometimes, this makes me scummy; other times, this makes people think I'm softclaiming an investigative role or something. As scum I feel more license to throw my vote around/be more aggressive, and I'll make the conscious effort to look paranoid. As both I get accused of being handwavy a lot, which as a self-critique I'd have to say is accurate.

But does this line of questioning actually lead anywhere? Do you really think as scum I wouldn't WIFOM the shit out of this or just blatantly make things up?

This is all based on a a post from yesterday. Do you think some of my reads may have changed since then? Are you going to go against everyone else for null reads? I can spend the half an hour it will take going back through the thread and find you others with them, are you going to accuse them too?

I'm not being a supplicant to their little whims and I personally don't enjoy having to read through the complete mass of worthless posting.
