Mini 1428: Reign of Flame (Game Over)

@jon: first off, we only put the white knight thing out there to see if PM or Axxle would bite.

Here's our thoughts:

-PM has had 2 really bad hammers. Both were when it might seem the wagon might fall apart. We, for instance, were about to unvote Maestro ourselves. We were on the fence with him.
-We asked PM to vote Jiffy and though she was wrong in thinking it would be a hammer, in hind-sight, it looked as though she was waiting for something (scum's day kill) to happen.
-She claims to be another town PR. From what we can see, dragons day kill seemed to be one shot, no other visible action has been done by them. That leads us to believe they are probably rather weak. We could make guesses that KD might have been strong man or something, but again, it would be guessing. What we do know for sure is that town had a Doc, Masons x2, an Armorer, a probable Vig (based on the armorer). That's already 5 town PR's. we aren't sure we buy a 6th being back-up Doc.

Something just isn't sitting right with PM. Axxle doesn't sit right as well, but we think we've been swindled and it breaks our heart.

No, I'm getting the feeling you're right, and I feel it's getting time to find out. (For what it's worth, my wife - who hates Mafia - said P_M was scum from Day 2 on. She sometimes reads along while we're in bed. LOL

I hate playing scum in the best of times. hate it. in this game I had just finished up with posh and I wanted a scum game where I did not hold back on the emotional manipulation piece cos I think too many players are given passes for aTe-ing all over the place when they shouldn't.

then all hell broke loose when nacho subbed in after I had just spent a 3 and a half hour gchat deep convo about mafia and strategies with him. I had to breathe into a paper bag for nearly an hour. I can't remember ever feeling so panicky in a game.

after cooldog was lynched, majiffy and I stalled on our nk order and then I saw I had like 5 minutes to put one in and so I put it on nacho. that was my misstep cos it was a choice that was emotionally driven. if I would have thought about it I would have nked aj and tried to flush out the doc earlier and then flame venmar so we could all enjoy venmar bbq. I was actually saving the day kill for cryo, I was even looking up bbq recipes but venmar threw such a wrench in the remnants of my plans I wanted him charred to a blackened crisp.

I made quite a few mistakes (sorry cooldog and majiffy!), all I can say is that I felt like newb scum with time format and the way lynches are determined. game navigation is hard to manage as scum. in this game I was really trying but often felt awkward and exposed. sometimes I enjoy the manipulations of playing scum despite hating it but in this game there was a distinct uncomfortableness from the start and I am not sure why. and then it came to a point that I had to be duplicitous with cryo and

that

felt icky.

thank you for the game uber goober. the write-ups were awesome and I really loved the flavour. it was fun being a dragon and I only wish I could have played a better game for you.

thank guys. it was fun if at times uncomfortable, but a learning lesson for sure.

The town played really well, and this game helps solidify my confidence in my read. I never REALLY thought that BBmola was scum, but I lynched him anyways for whatever reason. During night 3, I decided that I was too much of a wildcard to be offed, and I decided that Jon was too much of a gamble to kill and expect good results. So i figured the scum would go for the confirmed town, AJ. When I saved him, I tricked majiffy and pm to trying to kill me, and stopped them again . I think if it wasn't for me causing two no kills two nights in a row and proceeded to out both of the scum and push their lynches, the town would've lost early on.

Cryo and everyone else, proud that you guys chose pm over axle.

That was all phone posting... wow. More thoughts later.

I do think not specifying what the flipped roles normal named role names were was a wrong move. Someone got cleared early through the Citizen/Civilian/VT confusion.

For the record, we were provided with the VT claim, as well as several other fake claims. So the whole spec-clearing was bad play that just happened to turn out ok for town.

Yeah, I was fucking stupid to not draw the Nacho death... but he had quoted somewhere that he got the easiest town-read he's ever had on Majiffy, so I decided to trust him. I did recognize my fault after Majiffy was lynched, but doubt I would've gone after P_M after that, would've stated that the kill was Majiffy's idea.

I really loved Uber's death scenes so much, I

almost

wanted to die just to read the account of my untimely demise. Uber needs to be an author in his spare Time! I know I'd buy his books.

CooLDog and Majiffy's early Day One interaction had me completely fooled. What sealed my vote on Majiffy was when he started attacking Cryo but didn't even mention how I was saying I was SO certain Cryo was Town. I think Majiffy played his role very well, he helped several Citizen's to become toast. Looking back over the game, I'd have to say I think all the Dragons played really well. They all bussed and distanced in convincing ways.

My only gripe, we had several Town players who went AWOL when we really needed their opinions. But Meat World can be a cruel Mistress.

I really enjoyed playing with everybody, and thanks Uber for modding an enjoyable game with great flavor.
