As a side note I think you guys are arguing the fine points of the itemization trapping too much. The TL;DR of it is splitting your damage is better then stacking a single type because omni-tanking is much more expensive then single type-defense itemization. Which is both obvious and true so I'm not sure why the video is so long and wordy but to each their own.

As for the specifics he's in some ways right but in other ways extremely wrong, he makes the mistake of treating the jungler as a source of AD damage but junglers face the disadvantage of having less income and needing to build items such as locket / AoL for cheap stats and splitting the cost of actives/auras with the support (who has even less income). Another issue is the addition of Runic Bulwark which provides an astonishing 155 MR to the team when there is no Ar equivalent (Runic provides a much less impressive 70 AR to the team). So I agree with his general premise that split damage is good and that AP tops are good at splitting your teams damage. However I don't agree that AP tops are the solution to the current meta as they have their own strengths and weaknesses.

To clarify I don't think AP tops are particularly bad either, I think they're just another tool to consider when arranging team comps rather then some secret winning tech.

Just went 9/3 as Sona laning with jungle Voli (soloq problems) against Vayne/Sona. Did more dmg than the 8/8 Kat mid. The Sivir that called adc then went top after I called and hovered mf (yup) went 10/6. Sometimes, this game.
