You're way to scummy to be scum if that makes sense. You keep making yourself look worse and it seems like you don't care at all. This suggests you aren't scum.

"Too scummy to be scum?" That's a silly argument... if someone's making scumslips left and right, the most obvious explanation is that they're scum. You wouldn't argue that someone is too townie to be a townie, right?

I've been in a bunch of games where a town-aligned player had a contrarian manner set them up for an early lynch... Mutley was like that in the newbie I played with him, for example. So I'm hesitant to vote for VVVV unless he really slips up-- which he hasn't really done, if you ask me.

Actually, I would argue that someone who acts too townie may be "too townie to be town". It's a valid arguament. With that it's like you're trying too hard to be town, so yeah.

Only until now have I realised what Voodoo said that people were talking about. Teaches me to skim read all I could see was the obviously makes you scum bit, not the fellow townies. Hmm town read disappear

...oh, I get it. You're arguing that me referring to the collective twelve players as the town constitutes a scumslip, right? I've heard this argument used before to suggest I was scum. And this is how I replied:

We're using "town" here not to refer to innocents but as a way to refer to the collective opinion of you, me, and the other seven players here. I really, really, really hope you aren't going to argue that referring to the collective group as "the town" is a scumtell. (Spoiler alert: it isn't.)

In some contexts, I use the words town, townies, townsperson(s), etc. to refer to unspecified player(s) in the game regardless of their alignment(s). If this is the entirety of your case on me, it's a pretty lame case.

It has been used as a tell before but it is incredibly bad in my opinion, then again I've seen the use of night or day be used as evidence that a person is scum or town.

While "too scummy to be scum, too townie to be town" is an argument, I do think that those statements need to be backed up by things that could hint at them actually being town or scum otherwise... it's just bad.

Am I right in thinking that the last polygamist on here was open 422? Well I've only read the first page of that, and the fort person to suggest mass claim was scum. Now TAM was part of that game. He said he modded another off site. So surely they are his last two games involved in this set up. Now of that's true. TAM you are Lying about the last two times the first mass claim suggestion came from scum.

161: To my recollection the first person to bring it up in 422 was scum. I could be wrong (like you are claiming), that was my recollection which admittedly came from my memory of statements made in the offsite game mentioned. In the afore mentioned game however, Scum was the prominent proponent of the idea and thus why my memory may be faulty.

It is also interesting to note that in the offsite game, scum when confronted as I did VV, reacted in almost identical mannerisms. It is this fact that leads me to suspect he is scum besides the fact that he was the first and I HONESTLY BELIEVED that my assertions have been correct in the first person to bring up the early mass claim, I do not recall if 3 people before Mara had brought up claiming early but I do know that Mara brought it up and was the strongest proponent of it in that game. (She was also the strongest detractor in the offsite game where I am certain on my assertations.)

Also Muttley, 3 people who were in that game are in this one at least (I think KBW was too...) two of them were scum in that game... I find it interesting that neither of them corrected me on that piece of information?

I find it odd that he already had a PoE list of scum before over half the players even posted and that he even had a strong enough town read on those who had posted to even be comfortable to post a PoE list.

The last polygamist was actually Open 485. I should know-- Marangal and I were on the scumteam that game. Marangal and her "lover" (since any claims of monogamy are totally false from the scum perspective) "accidentally" claimed at the very beginning of the game for reasons rooted in why claiming at the beginning of the game benefits scum.

Actually, come to think of it... perhaps Core and TAM are trying to pull off the same thing here?
