A serious vote means you have a reason. Not sharing said reason makes the vote do nothing for the town. Furthermore, it is impossible to attack the reasoning behind a reasonless vote. Thus, it is impossible to defend against a reasonless vote and also impossible to attack the voter for scummy reasoning unless reasonless voting is scummy.
Voting without reason (Outside of RVS) is a progress-blocking monstrosity, and I see no reason why any town player would do such a thing.

Hi. I hate Day One in large games.

In really large games (like this one), there's a lot of noise generated on Day One, and I do my best scumhunting after at least one flip, when I can go back and look at connections. This is very standard for me to say in large games, you can check it.

Also, I prefer not to add (much) to the noise on Day One; makes it a bit easier on subsequent days to winnow the wheat from the chaff.

I’m also concerned about your lack of interest in scum. Flavor should be something that adds to the enjoyment not something that negates the importance of scum hunting.

I think that the action of serious naked voting is scummy. I think that given that context (Close to RVS, there was a case being made against the target by others) it wasn't very scummy. My post was more about stuff in general than that specific action.
