I was going to say that only if the 3-4 remaining scum were clones of Pitoli would that gambit have worked.

I thought MattP figured it out and was volunteering to take the scum's bullet for us tonight. That's why I just gave him the cheat sheet that he should say he shot CHESSKID because CHESSKID was the vig's shot. Then he insisted he shot Trust Fund which led me to post "what the coconut" in the hydra account.
