The day had started out nice. No one had died, the counter clerks weren't watching the soda fountain machines so we were unhassled as we got repeated refills of Cokesi and Diet Pep.

There was

discussion about who was a murderous mastermind.

Then Hermy had shown up. "It's at that guy," she said, pointing at VoidedMafia.

"Why is it that guy?" we had asked.

"Um. Reasons," she had said. "You know. What those other guys said."

"Lulz," we had literally said.

"Lulz," she had replied. "Y'all suck."

And so with the mall closing around us, we had strung her up right there in the food court, because that is how we roll at this mall, with her dangling from the flourescent lights which, as it turns out, are surprisingly resilient and not as fragile as you may have been led to believe.

Afterwards, we raided the now-defunct Hermy's Humogous Hodgepodge store, but were disappointed -- it was sadly lacking in malice, motive or malevolence.

Sleeping on the bench was always made a little more bearable with some newspapers to use as a blanket. I awoke, groggily, dust drifting off of me as a reminder of the maintenance work that had been done on the mall the day before, and began to round up the shopkeepers.

Once again, I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of blood and internal organs to be found. This was, I did have to say myself, the cleanest and least violent hostile takeover I'd ever been privy to.

Still, there was work to be done, because regardless of the number of dead bodies (or lack thereof), we still needed to flush out the evildoers from our midst.

No one died during Night 1.

For the former: It's possible, but I would think that the first (or first two kills) would be used to eliminate potential strong town suspects over saving them for later, unless scum believe that they aren't likely to win many of the future bids (and correct me if I'm wrong, but there were a couple close calls with the NKs last game)

For the latter: If so, why didn't they say so?
