Now, why do you think they would have gone to Dan instead of just telling us that they had a guilty on Muffin? I don't buy the "They wanted to live longer" theory as Majiffy already mentioned D1 that he lives a lot less nowadays on games due to his scum hunting abilities and I'd think they'd want to distribute that information as soon as possible.

Let me go back and re-read the timing of everything once again, but IIRC there was a "tracker guilty but not really" thing hanging in the air.

I don't rule out the possibility given that his micro I was scum with bert in; we had a strongman against a team of vanillas. He's not quite as fond of red herrings as I am, but yes, I don't doubt he'd be willing to put one out there.

i don't know who lush investigated. i would guess kagami or bubba. MC is a possibility. you're looking for crumbs and ignoring the fact they didn't necessarily crumb an inno blatantly ("hey guys, my read on X has completely reversed for no reason!"). the fact is, i don't care. and that's IF they even got a result. it's not affecting my reads atm.

if you're town, then i really need to reassess things. i still don't like dramonic or saki.

what's your own answer to the thought experiment?

I could buy that Varsoon and Gaiden were scumbuddies as i haven't read D1 yet, and I haven't interacted with Varsoon enough here to determine his alignment, but Muffin i just don't buy it atm, nor Nacho.

If you and nacho are both town, then scum is Saki, Dram, and the 5th (I'm assuming 5 groupscum here) is somewhere in {sakura, Varsoon, Bubba} in order form least to most likely on that last grouping of three.

Let's say we shelf lynching me until the day before LYLO where I agree to self vote; and we don't lynch Muffin or Nacho. Where exactly does that leave us? Lynching Saki? I mean as much as I'd love to see saki dead that just leaves the jumbled mess for another day.
