It didn't occur to me at all, and I usually think about these things. The more interesting part of the fake flavor claims, to me, is what it means about the bro-kthx connection.

Totally misread that. He claimed pretty deep into Day 2, I believe. Claiming not only character flavour but a keyword for his Weakness which made some flavoursense. Just claiming Hannes I can see as a thin-air pull, but a claim that deep sounds like a given one, to me.

Childhood Friends: I grew up with Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert in Shiganshina District. I am in a neighbourhood with them and have access to a QT at night with which we may speak. I do not know their alignments.

Paraphrased, that is all the information I have. If you're asking me if it says something like "You know they are Mikasa and Armin" the answer is no.

It's possible that only one or two of the scums' fake-claims include a separate flavor name. This would actually make a lot of sense, since a fake flavor claim only seems to empower the flavor cop (who would otherwise be useless); but if all the scum were expected to fake-claim, then the flavor cop would be a true cop, which might be too powerful.

Mastin almost certainly had one. I would think there should be one more (which implies brian-scum) for the flavor cop to be relevant, but that's just speculation.
