I can find one justification:

I recently completed OPEN 550 as scum. My teammates were Paschendale and Dr. Pants. The were really good and I could have easily categorized both of them as town when I made my final reads list. However because there were three players that had been on all mislynch wagons, I decided to create a reads list that included one of them in my "scummy" list. Paschendale had a ton of town cred overall but by using a list using a reasonable criteria I was able to include a teammate. Plus my reads list looked more genuine that way. But I didn't have to use the criteria that I used and I could have included both my teammates as town if I hadn't.

Yess.. this is a good post. He's offering his reasoning from his scum game in hopes that it would help find scum here. The reasoning itself is irrelevant.

Ok, my eyes hurt. :S There is practically no scumhunting from a majority of the players. Something needs to change here. There's no logical flow to anything. I looked through this trying to get reads and associations and I came up blank. If I was here from the start and on v/la, I would say it was deliberate of the scumteam to fuck with my head. That is unlikely.

ika, where the hell is the gambit? Crazy moves? Why so serious? You're trying to draw a hammer by post 300.

Utility wise, I think Reonie, Pants and GM would be the most useful if not scum. All seem to be putting a modicum of effort in their posts. Pants however is trapped in a tunnel, interrupting dialogue to shout that Reinoie is scum. That's not helpful. Even if Renoie is scum, let talkative scum talk. That reveals more information, not only by what they say, but what they don't.

At this point, I feel confident that ika/renoie and Pants/Renioe are unaligned pairs.

I also find it baffling that Anti-hero, Snork and renoie haven't converged onto pants if they all think he's scum, but rather have split the trains on people they won't agree with.


I like Pants as town. I feel a minor synergy there. While I said Pant's town isn't useful, I've done the same thing from time to time myself. He can't make it look legit as scum for too long because I am pretty damn good at dechipering tunnels if it is fake. Reionie could be town and as such I really don't want to go for ika's quick lynch plan.

ika also put forward this plan with little to no reasoning, despite pitching to me. That makes no sense as either alignment unless it's a gambit I haven't cracked yet. Even then, his posts don't give the feel of gambiting.
Greyice has pushed for a hammer here as well, and I don't particularly care too much for that.

That being said, I don't feel we can just lynch Reinoine and solve the game. Solving the game by page 1 rarely happens, unless I do it. Even then, it's less than 50% odds of being right.

Snork, your reasoning regarding meta is short sighted. It's not enough to say something that is true (i.e applying scum experience) but rather why that person is saying what they are saying. My best scum games come, not from when I lie, but when I tell the absolute truth but omit a few facts that I'm aware of. You have to look at both the logic and the emotion underneath.
