We're still going to expect you to be posting often enough to not get prodded a whole heap, if you can't manage that then our site might not be for you.In post 53, TheGottemer wrote:Ok... I said I might not post much. I also am on a different time zone so it might end up being tricky. My phone was being stupid so I did not see all the new posts.
Excuses aside, I will answer the questions soon. I just have to look at them...
Also your timezone shouldn't do much, just looking at the SEs in this game, we have US, UK and Aus.Everything happens for a reason, except maybe football.

Yeah not sure why a different time zone matters. Even if I'm asleep, you can still postShowThings I've learned.

I don't think it's about cursing. It's about being reasonably considerate of others. I've seen people disagree and curse, while being respectful. Likewise, I've seen people act like jerks and be cruel to others without swearing. I don't have a problem with cursing. I don't care for it, but it's not something I'm going to make a big deal about. IIn post 52, Jake from State Farm wrote:since I was told to watch my cursing I will apologize for it, through I will warn people once you get outside of newbie games, you will most likely come across a player who will curse.dohave a problem if we're going to ignore site rules regarding making posts with the "intent to insult or offend any other user on this site".
(I will note that some very good players see an uptick in swearing (relative to one's usual amount of swearing) as a scumtell. In that practical sense, swearing may work against your win condition. But I digress.)
At this point, we are well beyond any Random Voting Stage.I am quite happy with my vote right now. There's enough out there at this point to start making some educated guesses, or at the very least to start asking questions of people about the game state that will get you useful information.
TheGottemer,ashura25, andBoroPhil, give me a best guess as to who you think is scum and why."When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -Reiner Knizia

True story. Flay said that site rule doesn't apply to games. I've reported people for violating it and basically told that games are exempt.
Plus saying FU isn't insulting or offensive.
I'm picking my daughter up from camp and internet is spotty in the mountains. I'll post more later but I'm also content with my voteShowThings I've learned.

Oh ok, my bad on the numbers thing. I think the vote still counts even if you misspell the username.
BoroPhil, you had 2 posts to tell us all about why so many people are "votable", but you haven't said anything about anyone's alignment or voted.. Is there a reason why your being hesitant with your reads?
I'm not feeling these other votes. Complaining isn't scummy, and I'm getting the sense that Cheery Dog is trying to move the game forward. TheGottemer hasn't made enough posts for me to read them.
Thesp, why is giving bogus answers to a question any different than giving real answers? Bogus answers still provides information, which is what I think you're looking for.- Thesp

Giving bogus answers does indeed provide me with information (namely that you think it's counterproductive to answer questions, for whatever reason), but I'm inclined to think that giving actual answers is better. I am, after all, asking these questions for a reason. I must admit I'm a bit flabbergasted at the strong reactionIn post 62, Honey bee wrote:Thesp, why is giving bogus answers to a question any different than giving real answers? Bogus answers still provides information, which is what I think you're looking for.againstproviding simple information at this point.I can get a better read on people the more I know about them, and what a person willingly provides about themselves can indeed be useful. At the start of this game, I know very little about the vast majority of you, and I feel the best way to remedy that is by talking to you, and getting you to talk to me.
Does anyone want the Random Voting Stage to extend for any protracted length of time? Does anyone feel they get particularly useful information from it, or learn anything about the people playing? Does anyone else have something they'd rather be doing with posts today other than asking and answering questions? I'm all ears, but so far it seems like very few people are actually being productive.
And also, death to Jake from State Farm."When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -Reiner Knizia

Why death to me? Cause I realize your questions are pointless and don't actually help find scum ? Or cause I realize that this is you stalling from scum hunting?
I'm voting a person who I feel is delaying Providing content and made a lame excuse for why he isn't providing content.ShowThings I've learned.

Here's a great example of wifom.
If I was scum I would answer Thesp's questions and try to look as pro town as possible. So that means I must be town cause I'm not answering them right?

Can someone start a fight with someone?
Basically the first page was full of a whole series of rubbish reasoning. Also fluff. Lots of fluff. Scum love fluff.

LOL?!? I was completely pro-town on your slot and you vote me. Interesting. Seems to me as you thought there was an old wagon on me, and you just wanted to try and get Flames vote back on to me. I don't like that. Vote on me was random, his vote on you was random. This vote...isn't random.
