start longsword 3pot + yellow trinket > 2x dorans blades+vamp scepter+ 325g boots > bf sword (1550g AD item) / pickaxe (875g AD item) > infinity edge (bf + pickaxe + cloak) [ buy cloak last ] > proceed to buy Blade of the Ruined King or Statikk Shiv > Last Whisper > whichever one of BotRK/Shiv you didn't build > Bloodthirster or Phantom Dancer, your preference. (I'd recommend Bloodthirster, but I doubt you'll ever get to that point in most games).

This sort of stuff is good, but remember to explain why. It took me a long time to actually figure out items because people kept telling me "YOU SHOULD BUY X" instead of saying "Ashe has a guaranteed crit once every however long, so buying Infinity edge increases that damage and maximises her niche"

[Longsword] + [3 Potions] -> The 10 AD helps when you have no runes/masteries, and you also have three pots to fall back on.

next item set goal (early/mid game core)
[2x Dorans Blade] + [Vampiric Scepter] + [Boots of Speed (325g boots)] -> A lot of early game sustain traded for damage. ("sustain" = ability to keep your health up while laning). Autoattack minions to fill up hp. Pick up pots whenever needed. 325g boots gives you enough movespeed to get by in lane, and upgrade from 325g boots to Zerkers (675g for the upgrade) isn't worth it until you get some flat AD.

next item set goal (mid/late game core)
Looks like this: [Infinity Edge] + [Statikk Shiv/Blade of the Ruined King]
Infinity Edge should always come first, picking up the B.F. Sword and Pickaxe before the Cloak.

Also, the pots give you additional regen, it's not an instantaneous health boost.

Active item. Press the numbered slot (1 if they are in slot 1, 2 if in slot 2 etc.) they are on to get them to work - if already pressed, they regain health over time (150 health over 15 seconds).

Also quadz, the red elixr gives health too.
