I mean he has been attacked consistently, and from numerous angles, since the beginning of the game. I know from my own play-style, that if this happened to me, I would also have spent pretty much the whole game defending myself instead of scum-hunting. I don't know why so many players equate defensiveness to scumminess when that is simply not the case.
that's the problem. he is _not actually defending himself_. he is just trying to ignore all the reasons for him being scum while taking cheap potshots from the sidelines. (you'll notice he just did it again to ABR)
if you read my bolded post, I explained it there. as an example, take 132; I start pushing on him, he answers back, I continue pushing on him, he goes "lol misrep after misrep" despite never claiming I misrep'ed him at all before that, which if he actually thought I had, he should have. I ask him about this, he proceeds to.... completely ignore it, and then claim later I have no reasons for him being scum. such a fucking town thought process, am I right?
it's scum flail 101, and what is pissing me off here is that I can lay out all the reasons for him being scum, but half the town will let him blatantly ignore all of them and continue coasting by for *insert shit reason here*

DGB hasn't posted a case, whereas you did. I can look at your case and see if the logic there ~actually~ holds up or not, and in your case I didn't think it did. your idea was that DGB just didn't have any case. part of the reason I want to see DGB's reasoning on Ghostlin is so that I can actually have something to analyze, as opposed to sitting there guessing over it.
still want answers for these:
↑ Walpurgisnacht wrote:regardless, I still don't get why you think town DGB would be more likely to respond with a case (it's imo bad play, but not scummy, just anti-town). I also don't see where you got the idea I was factoring newness into this.

that was an exaggeration. it was not meant to be taken 100% literally; the point was I have no idea why more people aren't picking up on this

why do you think ABR is scum? I'm looking through your catchup and afaict most of the reasons you're calling him scum are one-liners without explaining why his posts are more likely to come from scum than town (and then you said later it might just be his style), and I don't know what you think about his recent posts. also wanna know about why dave is scum, and if you think ABR and MM are scum together

I understand that it's an exaggeration. I think scum exaggerate to manipulate the town.

You're assuming I'm talking in an absolute perspective. I'm talking in a relative perspective.
I care a lot less about the suspicion itself and a lot more about why you're suddenly dropping the suspicion you've been tunneling on for something like 12 pages instantly to jump on this.

I think town should post a case. Not doing so is scummy. This is my opinion, and how I play the game. You are welcome to disagree, and hunt your own way.

Newness is probably the wrong way to characterize the feeling I'm getting from you. Perhaps condescending is a better description. Like I'm a gnat and you can just ignore the points I'm making because you're a mafia god or something. It's a bit of a leap to say the reason you do it is due to newness.
↑ MonkeyMan576 wrote:Yeah, let's help ABR on a lynch that makes no sense and has no reasoning whatsoever. That must be a town wagon.*sarcasm*

............. OK, no.
I'm calling complete bullshit here. first off, DGB is lurking, but she outright said she is townreading you. what is she even doing in order to get you lynched? second, I also self-voted, which you acknowledged when you voted me. what makes Jester's self-vote any worse than mine? (additionally, I don't see what Jester is doing to get you lynched either, given afaik he hasn't declared a scum read on you and is instead voting me)
This goes on for PAGES. This is probably the most relevant post, and I've pointed it out already. The problem with Monkey is his consistency problems with how things and people get voted. That's the crux; bizarrely all of the MM's voters are active, so the idea that scum lurking to set up Town lynches has it's own logical problems, along with Monkey's strident denial that his wagon materialized out of glitter.
Also, Massive calls me out on saying scum might be in lurkers and doesn't comment or remark on

This switch is weird, but I think I know where DGB is going with this, and I kinda agree with her. Fuck that. I very agree with her. I'm reluctant to call DGB the Queen of Town, but I feel better for waiting, I thought I'd have to DGB push Day 2 or 3 because she'd be alive and still doing fuck all.

So because DGB is townreading me that obligates me to townread her? That makes no sense whatsoever.
And your self vote is better because you are not lurking, you are actually contributing and scumhunting.
Potato. Po-tath-o. Anyone remember when Monkey said the real problem was not claiming who it was in the neighborhoods?
Also, the bolded sentence above is either missing the point, or ignoring it.
