Sorry for the delay, my computer suddenly decided to restart while I wasn't paying attention.

The Venom Lords storm in and slap Thestatusquo on the throne. He's hardly struggling, allowing himself to be slapped on the throne without struggling. He resigns himself to his fate. However, it's not over for him yet, as, before the throne delivers its punishment, Diablo, Mephisto and Baal pound into the sanctuary. Diablo begins to speak, his voice piercing your ear drums with their volume.
"This isn't over yet. You have betrayed us,
Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, Lesser Evil Aligned
, and you will receive the payment you are due."
He waves his hand and the throne bursts into flame. But the fire does not consume. It just burns. It burns long after Thestatusquo loses his voice. It burns long after he loses his sanity.
The Prime Evils win!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
1: Toorc Icefist
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
Hell was such a nice place. Until the Lesser Evils decided to try to take over. You, Toorc Icefist, Council Member, Prime Evil Aligned, will have nothing of that. So you have met with your fellows, [name] and [name], to rid Hell of the Lesser threat. You may have outside communication with each other during night. Together, you have one role. Your combined role is that of a Cop, a Doc, and a Roleblocker. Every night, you may send me a player's name, a Council Member (so one of your masonry) to use your role, and the specific role you wish to use. If you choose to use your Cop role, you will investigate the player and receive knowledge of his alignment. If you choose to use your Doc role, you will protect him from his first death if he's Prime Evil Aligned. If you choose to use the Roleblocker role, you will stop him from using any role if he's not Prime Evil Aligned. Unfortunately, your role weakens as more of your little group die. Once the first of your group dies, your collective loses the Cop role. Once the second dies, your collective loses the Roleblocker role. You may not target one of your own mason group with any of these abilities.
You win when all threats to the Prime Evils are annihilated, and at least one Prime Evil Aligned player remains.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: I'm fascinated by the idea of a Town Aligned Mafia, and this seems like just the way to implement it.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

If you choose to use your Cop role, you will investigate the player and receive knowledge of his alignment. 4: Eldritch the Rectifier
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
Stuff's wrong. It needs to be righted. Who better to do it than you, Eldritch the Rectifier, Prime Evil Aligned? You need to right what's wrong and get rid of all the Lesser Evils. You have no abilities other than your vote and your word.
You win when all threats to the Prime Evils are annihilated, and at least one Prime Evil Aligned player remains.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: Vanilla. Move on.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
5: Sszark the Burning
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
The Lesssser Evilssss are naïve. They want to sssstorm the gatessss of Heaven, but that issss a thing of the passsst. You will not sssstand for ssssuch sssstupidity, Sszark the Burning, Prime Evil Aligned. You may be a sssspider, but you have no abilitiessss other than your vote and your word.
You win when all threatssss to the Prime Evilssss are annihilated, and at leasssst one Prime Evil Aligned player remainssss.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: Vanilla. Move on.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
6: Nihlathak
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
You failed your clan. You failed the Worldstone. You failed your fellow elders. You will not fail now, Nihlathak, Necromancer, Prime Evil Aligned. You have one ability, which you may use once, and only once, during night. You may cast a Corpse Explosion on a living player, which means that, upon their death, they will explode, taking the player who last voted for him (if the player was lynched) or the player who killed him (if the player was killed at night) with him in death.
You win when all threats to the Prime Evils are annihilated, and at least one Prime Evil Aligned player remains.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: Nihlathak always was fun. I think I've captured the flavour of Corpse Explosion pretty well, even though it's usually cast after death. This is one of the town's power roles, as he can kill a Mafiate when one of the Prime Evils claims. Of course, the Mafia's rolestopping can stop him.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
7: Snapchip Shatter
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
Is it freezing in here? Well, that must be you, because you're ice cold, Snapchip Shatter, Frozen Creeper, Prime Evil Aligned. Being ice cold is great. Everyone wants to be your buddy. You're an air conditioner and a freezer in one, and those are useful commodities in Hell. Unfortunately, there is one downside to being frozen. Upon your death, you will shatter into a thousand pieces and thaw into a puddle of water, thus leaving no trace of your role or alignment.
You win when all threats to the Prime Evils are annihilated, and at least one Prime Evil Aligned player remains.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: A role with a drawback is better than no role at all.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
8: Frozenstein
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
It's a bit hot in here, Frozenstein, Prime Evil Aligned, but that can't be helped. It is Hell, after all. You just need to get rid of these Lesser Evils so you can go back to your beautiful little frozen river. You have no abilities other than your vote and your word.
You win when all threats to the Prime Evils are annihilated, and at least one Prime Evil Aligned player remains.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: Vanilla. Move on.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
9: Wirt
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
In life, you were an annoying little brat who tried to sell people crap. In death, not much changed. As Wirt, Annoying Kid, Prime Evil Aligned, you're here to sell people crap, like you always do. Every night, you must target a player and try to sell him one of your magical items at the price of that player's vote for the next day. If the player you target accepts the offer, he will be unable to vote the day after but he will receive one of your magical items. If he declines the offer, nothing will happen.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: All his magical items are crap and don't do anything at all. When he dies, a portal to the Mad Cow level will open up and the next day/night (depending on the timing of his death) will be skipped.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
10: Duriel
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
As Duriel, Lord of Pain, Lesser Evil Aligned, you are trying to take over Hell and make it better. Together with your partners, [name], who is Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, and [name], who is Izual, Fallen Angel, you seek to eliminate the Prime Evils and their pawns. You have formed a triumvirate to take over Hell. Each night, you will send me a player's name and a Lesser Evil to carry out the hit. Channeling the others' powers, the target will not only be killed, but he, and everyone who targets him, will be roleblocked. Unfortunately, as your numbers will decrease, so will your powers. If you lose one of your number, you will merely roleblock your target, not also the players who are targeting him. If you lose another of your number, you will not even roleblock your target. You may have outside communication with each other during night. If you die, Andariel will take over your spot as Mafia Don. If Andariel is already dead at that point (or dies later), Izual becomes Mafia Don.
In the case that you are forced to claim, a word of advice. Since Hell's a special place, normal monsters aren't featured in the game. All monsters have names, which can be found
here. Only monsters from Act III, IV and V have been used in the creation of this game, so if you must claim, a name from Act I or II would be wisest, though you are free to claim whatever you want, of course.
You win when only Lesser Evil Aligned Players are left standing.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: Ah, Duriel. How I hate his guts. He's the obvious choice for Don, since he is, by far, the most annoying enemy of the three. His method of killing people is impaling them on his claws.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
11: Andariel
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].

You may have outside communication with each other during night. If Duriel dies, you will take over his job at Mafia Don. If you are already dead at that point (or die later), Izual becomes Mafia Don.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: Andariel has to be in, of course. She's one of the two Lesser Evils you actually fight in the game. Her method of killing people is poisoning.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
12: Izual
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Welcome to Diablo Mafia, [name].
As Izual, Fallen Angel, Lesser Evil Aligned, you are trying to take over Hell and make it better. Together with your partners, [name], who is Duriel, Lord of Pain, and [name], who is Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, you seek to eliminate the Prime Evils and their pawns. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mod Notes: Izual was the best I could come up with. I didn't feel like putting Belial in, so I used Izual instead. This is also great for claiming. His method of killing people is rending them apart with his sword.

A person approaches you from the shades. He offers you a magical item in exchange of your vote. If you accept this offer, you will be unable to vote tomorrow. If you do not accept the offer, nothing will happen.
You are happy to receive your magical boon. But, no, you've been tricked! This wasn't a magic item...it was just a normal item.
You have still lost your vote.

I made two mistakes: one was not to put the claim story in Izual's role PM, which I mysteriously forgot, probably thinking anyone would know Izual wasn't a true Lesser Evil.
The second one, which was horribly stupid, was the no kill on Night 1. In the first incarnation of the Mason team, all three roles (roleblocking, doccing and investigating) were used. Because PJ and I changed it last minute, I had forgotten about the change.
