Did it look like he might continue to do more of it? Yeah, it sure did, but that didn't actually happen. It really is silly, though; we've learned exactly one thing and that's that the mod can be expected to try to fuck with our heads, but you should always expect good mods to fuck with your head anyway.
I didn't like you calling him "actually scum" without waiting to see if things would really play out that way. On its own, that one post is a pretty flimsy reason, and I don't think anyone should have strong beliefs based on it alone.
I'm constantly baffled by the idea of policy lynches, but I haven't noticed one alignment as more likely to advocate them, especially Day 1.
I don't wait around, sorry. And I don't want fifteen pages of people rambling about setup speculation before I go "AHA! NOW THAT WE'VE WASTED ALL THIS TIME, YOU'VE ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!". Not my style, and not something I'm interested in doing this game. Read my above post for more context.
It's early D1. I'd say pushing for nonproductive setup speculation + a weak sauce policy lynch is better reasoning to vote someone than stupid fucking RVS bullshit. Like it was strong enough that I didn't feel like engaging in RVS and wanted to get straight to meat & potatoes.
Re: policy lynching-- I don't know the numbers on whether one alignment does it more than another. I do know that unless it's a very SPECIFIC situation (like, Nobody Special), then it usually lacks any sort of pro-town motivation behind it. It's super easy for scum to just go RABBLE RABBLE TUNNEL TUNNEL POLICY LYNCH and not really engage with the game. I have done it pleeeenty of times.
And now Cabd hasn't posted in 24 hours after the shitstorm kicked up, despite being around the site yesterday evening and late last night.
