I played a game with my mentor and we got into a fight that makes this look like kiddie pool splashing. I don't recommend it. we cancelled our IRL meetup cos the wounds went to deep. but I did what he taught me to. keep your eye on the ball. set aside the personalities and keep focus on the endgame where we win. I was a doc protect by an inventor and he was a do and we protected each other despite us wanting to rip each other's throats out.

post game he said, "you did well" and I said "I learned from the best". you have to learn to cut through the chaff and I am an optimist I think you will get it at some point the second you stop being something that you are not. cos I think you are an emotional player, not beep boop and your posts indicate that. I also think how genuine you come across is your gift.

focus on the ball and work with your team even if you want to throw them in a dark dungeon and do a bunch of tortuous stuff (I feel this way quite frequently).

These associatives before a flip are really concerning and need to stop. Ika's said it better than me, but it clearly needs re-stating.

Just finished our iso's for the night. Our top scum reads (in alphabetical order) are:

Since mollie is the important lynch target today, to avoid unnecessary convolution, and for cpl other reasons, would prefer to wait before releasing full reads on the others until D3.

There are a couple of things in this post that ping for me: firstly, that reads-list; if you add plum to it, it's basically the bottom half of the activity list, without the two replacements. Then the mollie target, which is trying to direct town to a conclusion, and then the 'prefer to wait'...there's no town-advantage to not sharing your thoughts.

I am sorry I haven't checked in earlier; I've been pretty busy.

I'm going to go on record as saying I <3 Mollie a lot and I have respect for her scumhunting abilities. Dismissing that as "worship", especially when you've said you don't bother with meta much, looks like shallow discrediting to me, Yukari. I don't like it. I'm also not a fan of the lining up lynches thing you have going on right now.

I had really thought that MS would flip scum. The fact that Mollie hasn't weighed in yet is bothering me a lot.

@Ika: What do you think Mollie could say at this point? Either she's town who staked everything on a bad read on MS or she's scum. I don't know which, but I will say that this game has tied together people's alignments (MS-Mollie, Yukari-Mollie, even me and you and Mollie) more than any game I've seen lately. I don't know what Mollie could say, which is maybe why she hasn't said anything.

See, Boo appologised later (1265) for not giving Mollie the benefit of the doubt with her not posting immediately, but still the comments about 'I don't know what Mollie could say', and the vote right before she explains she doesn't know whether it's mollie-scum or mollie-town, committed to a bad read, are ringing really false for me. The unvote later is slightly better, but this push out of the gate looks scummy.

I've never been in a neighbourhood: have people had experience of all town neighbourhoods? 'Coz Ika seems to be pretty widely town-read.

It's a fact that I'm not certain of my reads. I still feel like Yukari is scummy but I don't know if she was blocked, Mollie was protected or if she's just scum lying. Occam's Razor doesn't really help me, because of this:

If Yukari is scum lying, she might well think it was worthwhile to get rid of both MS and Mollie through a single claim. But she's still giving up her scum-life for two town-lives, and I don't think as scum I'd make that trade so readily.

If Yukari is truth-telling town, then she could have been blocked by scum to protect Mollie. But this doesn't make sense to me either because why would scum try to keep a townie alive? I guess they could try to leave WIFOM to get me and Ika lynched for defending her, but it's still kind of a long shot.

If truthful, Yukari could have been blocked by town protecting Mollie. This one seems most unlikely to me, because as town who mostly believes in Mollie-town I STILL would not have protected her because it just creates WIFOM for today. (If this is what happened, PLEASE do not claim, protective role. Don't do it. Not at all.)

There's no way Yukari and Mollie are scum together in my opinion. Not after yesterday and the first part of today.

So I just don't know. I don't know how we proceed here. I mean, I could pursue some lesser scumreads but it still leaves the elephant in the room. (Not the Bellaphant.)

So I don't know just what to do at this point at all. Which makes me pretty damn useless, sorry about that.

First things first.

I don't have a great deal of time for the rest of the evening. I've been reading along but will need to go back and spreadsheet and stuff. I hopefully should get this done tomorrow since I am trying to wean myself off Spreadsheeting all the Things.

My bottom line is that most of day 1 looks like a gigantic town v town fest to me and scum are probably sitting back toasting marshmallows and singing kumbaya, much as we scums did in Day 2 / 3 of Pokemon.

I literally need to go and serve dinner right now but right now town ika mollie and myself, poss scum Yukari, prob scum Bookitty and a morass of people in the middle I need to sort.

Will be here tomorrow.

In the meantime I plead with everyone who is town to have a good think about their reads. I would be up for leaving Yukari and Mollieslot completely off the table for today and look elsewhere on principle. Let's get everyone in and posting and contributing. There's no rush and I'd really appreciate no flash lynches.

If Mollie IS scum (something I don't really want to believe and something that I feel isn't true) then it makes sense that scum would roleblock Yukari. But they'd have to know that this was only a stopgap measure because it would make Mollie look just that much more guilty. But if she's town, maybe scum would roleblock Yukari (or Yukari-scum would claim vig) just to try to get that one more lynch out of this whole mess?

It's all WIFOM if someone else sees it more clearly please point it out to me, because once you get to second-level second-guessing I start to get truly lost.
