A little research goes a long way itlepip, I be the only doctor in the game with an infirmary. However, that is neither here nor there as it is irrelevant to the game.

This would mean that your role was so lazily designed compared to everything else I know about the setup that I struggle to see this being accurate.

This post was not directed at suzune's claim. If it was, I would have unvoted. I was confused because I was not entirely sure why everyone began claiming, although reading back, I do understand mario's claim.

Itlepip did not really address anyone in this post, so I misread it as a general "How could he be shot?", and so I answered. The fact that itlepip then begins to scum read me right after that is offsetting.

Melanie, the nurse at the school infirmary, spoke as she gently touched her chin with her hand. There was a mischievous tone in her voice, which was fairly usual for her - she often liked to tease her students, and from the gesture she was making, and the somewhat-excited look on her face, this didn't seem like an exception.

"Hmm. I'll show you my card if you come a bit closer. ~"

I walked over to take her card so I could reveal it to everyone. I couldn't help but notice how sweet her perfume smelled. What was it? I paused for a brief moment to figure out what this sweet, womanly scent would be whe ... ah ....

*drop*

I opened my eyes to find everyone standing over me, looking down. After I got back up off the floor, I noticed Melanie wasn't there.

"She escaped? What is this blasphemy?!"

That was when I noticed she hadn't actually escaped - she had left her card sitting on the table in the middle of the workshop. The game was safe to continue! As the moderator, I knew what color card she held, so it didn't really matter whether she took it with her or not, but it wouldn't count if I didn't give a formal reveal, now would it? I walked over to the table, and flipped the card face-up.

Everyone was standing outside the workshop. Melanie's sudden exit had left everyone confused as to the state of the game - would it continue, or be called off due to untimely mod injury? - but of course the game had to continue! This is a test of wits, after all! And I had something special planned: in order to add some suspense into it, I would call everyone back in, one at a time, making it seem like one of them was out that night. And then I'd announce who the target for the night really was.

"Ow! What do you think you're doing?!"

I'd recognize that voice anywhere - it was Nikki's voice. Was she in trouble? Shortly thereafter, I heard someone scream. I'd recognize that soft, not-manly at all scream anywhere too - it was Tony Eisler, my ultimate rival. I rushed outside only to find Tony laying on the ground, bleeding, and Nikki standing over him, hammer in hand, with a proud look on her face.

"Aaahhh, that felt so good. ~ I had enough of this guy's constant teasing."

"Nikki?! What is this turn of events?"

"He kept trying to pull on my tail! Don't you know that the tail is one of the most sensitive parts of a Beastman's body?! How rude," she said with an air of dismissal and indignation that stated she was clearly the one in the right.

"Shouldn't someone take him to the infirmary?" A student passing by the workshop had been watching, and felt the need to speak up.

"Well, that might be a good idea, except Melanie ran off to who knows where," Nikki said. "Not that it really matters, Tony's as good as dead if I see him again anyway."

"Ugh ... my head hurts ..."

"Shut up! Maybe, if you don't want your head to hurt, you should have stopped touching me after I told you to stop!! What is up with that, anyway? You think you can get off poking me whenever the hell you want?"

Nikki was known for being fairly hot-blooded, so this was fairly reasonable for her, not that I minded seeing such a cute Beastgirl rail on my arch-nemesis. Almost immediately, she changed the subject.

"Heh ... maybe Melanie ran off scheming her plan for revenge for being lynched in our game or something."

My epic plan to build suspense foiled, I headed back through the door into for the third day, and everyone followed me. That was when I noticed that Muppy, the alien we had recovered during our research trip to the Mana Ruins, seemed to be missing as well. I wasn't really watching him, nor did I have much of an idea of where he would have been likely to go, though, so I didn't stop the game to look for him, and the game continued.
