why was that endgame? it was 4 town left, 3 scum left. shouldn't that be lylo?

I had the same thought, but the lover mechanic sealed it I believe.

well we probably would have lynched Aristo today, and if Ranger tried to avoid that they'd be scumtelling like crazy...

It shouldn't have been.

if town lynches the lovers, night goes to 3:2 with town having no way to prevent the kill

If they lynch any other scum, night goes to 4:2 which becomes 3:2 the next day. Another non lover lynch makes it 3:1 going to night. Another town dies, 2:1. The town lover lynches scum buddy two votes to one, leaving one town as sole survivor.

A long shot but possible.

A long shot but based on that hammer, I think we would have lynched Aristo and then Clumsy due to Clumsy's refusal to kill the quickhammerer.

And then based on the fact scum would obviously never kill the lovers, we would know there had to be a scum in the lovers.

And quite frankly, I think we woulda voted the slot Ranger got from BRO over EP. I would have anyway.
