Hello, Marquis, I'm really glad you made that post

but more than that, I understand where you're coming from with Cheetory Mafia if you're town, but there are so many minor things about you and hiplop together that just coalesce into a big pile of scum. the problem is I keep looking for some sort of ace in the hole that could tell me I'm wrong here and yet when you guys come back in it's with tactics that I've seen each of you use before as scum. if you were an individual player it wouldn't be as bad but when I recognize scum patterns from both heads it's extremely difficult to read you guys otherwise. like I want to because maybe it's a personal thing and I want to be able to show sympathy on a personal level, but realistically I'm playing this game to help town win and nothing so far including personal matters (plus how you've both addressed them, particularly hiplop's responses) is mutually exclusive from being scum

so essentially what this post reads to me is that you're looking at this game from the lens of guilty until proven innocent. You're recognizing things that we do as scum, okay, sure. But what's convincing you that what we're saying excludes the possibility of us being town? That's what you haven't been conveying to me, and I find that worrying. I think that a lot of the stuff you've done is mislynch logic which is also worrying.

I was on the same page as TPP in that they've picked up on a lot of the minor tics I've had issues with. I'm aware it might be unfair to not present the whole mass of them succinctly to you so you can counter but 1) I don't think any of us are committed enough to type that all up or read it all or analyze it in depth 2) it's finals and Relay for Life time and I really should be sleeping and 3) gamewise I'm not convinced that giving you another chance will get me anything besides another one of the the multiple scum-esque responses I've already seen

would isoing TPP give me what these minor tics are? Because I'm totally fine with responding to those.
would you be willing to tell me what these "tactics that you've seen use use as scum" are, because it looks like that's a major portion of what you're scumreading us for.

both of your reads have made strings of responses I've seen you use as scum to fairly good effect recently, and strings of responses that semantically look like town statements but realistically are feelings that scum feel too.

this too, sort of goes back to my first point.

it's also a pattern of being so wrong or opposite on reads from both heads that i'm confused, because it doesn't even feel like you're trying to adapt your reads to view the game more accurately, since your slot was one of the most vocally wrong ones and i'd expect the skybird scumflip and who pushed it and my innos and my claim to jar you both more than it has too.

I think you know where hiplop is coming from. He's explained it to you. From what I gather, he doesn't think that the case on skybird was legitimate despite the flip.
And I haven't really expressed full reads right now but I'm pretty sure I've said before that I'm not working with associatives this game because of where my head's at. I don't care how skybird flipped, I see things that are scummy in a vacuum to me and I ask people to be accountable to those things. That's all of my scumhunting right now. Make sense?
I am considering rereading the whole game, and I would ask you to let me do that before lynching us if that's what it comes to.

again, marquis, you're looking at us and saying "what would scum do?" and "is friendless seniors doing that thing?" but you're not asking yourself "would town friendless seniors doing that thing too?" I'm seeing a pattern of confbias from you. You were right with skybird, but it's my belief that there were some objectively really weak arguments that you were pushing against skybird. And you're trying the same strategy with us and after multiple trials it's not gonna help town in the long run.

Also for the record I would like to disagree with everything FS said. They were never being super townread in Midsummer's and had a decent chance of dying d1/d2 until after shenanigans happened. The other thing is that I have gotten strong townreads on hippy plently of times and never this game.

I don't know hiplop as well as he knows himself, but here is my impression.
When he makes a strong entrance, he shines as a strong player, regardless of alignment and manages to become a solid townread from most people. That's because he has the resources available to dedicate to figuring out the game. When we're under constant pressure and have a limited amount of time to post, then most of our posts end up being reactive. That's not anyone's fault, it's just how it is. I'm not blaming anyone for pressuring a scumread, that's reasonable.

But this game isn't my top priority right now, and I'm sorry to Rob that I can't make it my top priority. I'll be frank- my attitude this game (and I think it shows in my posts) has been "survive to the next day and that's when I'll really figure out this game, saga frontier style." I'll try to make that day today. I can't guarantee it. I can't guarantee anything.

FS isn't game solving and will never be in any towncircle unless he gets greenchecked. He also is playing pretty scummy and poorly and is misrepresenting things and flip flopping a shit ton. There isn't any good reason why we shouldn't lynch him.
