Ah yes. If the protected player is supposed to be killed, the bodyguard takes the bullet, regardless of whether the kill is successful or otherwise.

A town gets lynched.

Which means 3 players alive. With one scum.

Should I give a choice to the scum for a no kill, or should I declare it as town win? Because without a no kill, there is no chance for town to win/draw this.

No protective roles/killing roles in the town side either. So no way of stopping the nightkill or killing the scum. An ascetic and a VT are all that remain.

If there's an obvious strategy for scum that wins the game (typically "kill a random player") that can be determined via looking only at the first post, and there's no reason why they might do something else, you can call the game right there. The normal way to do things is to mark the remaining townies as "endgamed".

Wouldn't that give a hint to the scum that there is something that might stop the kill from happening, if the mod indeed goes into the night?

Yes, but that doesn't factor into their decision-making anyway. In any cases where their kill actually
matters
, it's because something was capable of stopping it. So although you're spoiling information it's not information that anyone can usefully use.

BTW if you're unsure about this you can wait for a third opinion rather than taking my word for things. Letting the night time out isn't going to make a difference in the long term.

I decided to use the concept of speed nights. Told them to send a PM specifying a night action and also if they want a speed night.
