Hi sad1492, you sound like a really nice person and I'm terribly sorry I'm doing this to you. Unfortunately the circlejerk irritates the hell out of me and I can't focus on reading individual people when about 1/4 of the game consists of Transcend's spam and super confident scum reads on me and anyone who dares defend me. I literally don't care if he's town at this point. He either has to cut the crap or get lynched. This thread isn't the only place he's been harassing me btw. Pretty sure he doesn't care if I'm town or not, he just wants me out and the feeling is mutual.

i play like this every game and get my reads like this every time.

I never expressed this kind of confidence in my reads. Not even in my other game where I spent 90% of my time tunneling on one person before I got killed N1. Even in that game I considered the possibility I could be wrong. You don't do any of that, so I'm not valuing any of your "strong reads" very highly.

If I had to count how many times I lost a game due to 180ing a strong scumread I had and lynching a town vs. 180ing a strong townread I had and sparing a scumbag, I think that the former would've happened quite a bit more.

Confidence is super key, otherwise you just waffle and make a mess out of everything.

Okay then. Imagine town follows your lead and gets me lynched. I'm revealed as town. What happens then? What information does my flip provide? Is it worth the day and the mislynch? What happens to your reads in that case?

I know where you're coming from re: confidence because I also don't think a weak push is enough to elicit reaction from scum. But I think you should at least consider the possibility your scum reads are town and be prepared to re-evaluate your other reads if your tunnel gets mislynched. Otherwise on D2 you'll be back at square zero.

I think him asking me to do something because "the people wanted it" was really scummy, and his reaction that followed it wasn't that great.

I'm not passive, I'm just having trouble reading the game so far. Too many lurkers, RVS too long. You. Etc etc.

Also I'm always defensive. I'm not used to being seen as scummy when I'm town so I flip out. It's NAI for me.

I like that in post 95 he didn't join your wagon because it looked like a non-RVS wagon and he wasn't comfortable with it this early. It's what I would do.

I also like that in 96 he clarified on Creature's behalf instead of trying to frame him as scummy.

I think "the people" was just an expression. He was probably null/townreading you at the time and trying to get more people to reconsider their suspicions on you by asking you to explain your vote.

I don't get the reaction either but I don't think I find it scummy. Could just be confirmation bias on my part though.

The other posts are fluff/null. I could see both town!Aubrey and scum!Aubrey posting them.
