I'd like to add, I think WhoMe? played really well. With the town 'up' as it were, there was no need to wait for the smoking gun. By clearing a couple suspect-looking but town players, he managed to help ensure the correct lynch. I'd have looked a right pillock if Albert hadn't been scum.
I'd have believed Qman over Remus, fwiw. 'Doubting Thomas' - until JDodge revealed his role at the end, all the VTs had names which implied uncertainty at some point, whilst all the power roles were supernatural. That's something to think about in future, BM- The Holy Ghost as a backup doc might have been a good safeclaim, I think. Vengeful vicar was quite a good one, only it did really sound like a vig name, and Remus couldn't really claim vig, since it's testable. He did quite well considering, i thought.
I did find it funny how Xyzzy was lynched, in part, as no-one believed there'd be a mortal power role, then Qman got lynched because the town didn't believe there'd be an apostle who wasn't a PR.
Also, remember to state the town winning condition at the start!

Wooh. This was a fun game to read. I can't believe Xyzzy survived so long though, after that statement in his first post. I mean, wondering whether there's a town?
I thought Whome? played a very good game. I'm impressed remus managed to get qman lynched day 3. The game was weighted a bit against the scum (rb/doc/cop combo was pretty intense). But the town won because they played better, imo.

lol no. i thought you did well in the end. I couldnt have played it much better myself (except maybe killing NaR instead on the final Night).remussaidow wrote:I realized that BM, but really, did I have any other choice than to try it?

hmm perhaps. there again, you were less certain to be town than NaR. i could hardly see NaR-scum prematurely hammering both his scumbuddies. lolSpambot wrote:I think killing Ranger would have been a bad move. I absolutely would not have believed the one-shot vig that fired on night 1 over the claimed cop.

no, Killing spambot was best- he seemed to believe most in whome?'s cop claim. I had grounds to try and trash NaR as scum (the "busses")- so leave him alive, Whome? was already out as the person to kill. That left me with spambot and jdodge. Spambot already said he thought it was me, so I couldn't let him live. I can't convince someone that someone else is scum when he already correctly thinks that I am the scum. And the more strikes I had to start with coming in meant the less time I had to work before I died.
Now, life is civilized. Once there was a city, barbaric in its ways. Yet, they were an empire. But even before that, they were two brothers. They fought. Remus said ow, and it all began.
The only thing you did that I disagreed with was claiming to have a one shot vig. That was just weird, and Ranger should have never come close to buying that. Not to mention that you claimed to have fired night 1. You would have been better off claiming vanilla or at least saying you still had your shot left. That would have been more believable.
I thought you were a better lynch than Qman, but he was already very close and I felt like we would win the next day either way. I didn't think it was worth fighting over when WhoMe? would simply verify that you were scum (wasn't actually necessary to do so) and you'd get lynched.

Claiming he still had his shot left would have been testable, though. Town no-lynches, and orders Remus to vig WhoMe? When the game doesn't end that night, it proves that Remus is scum.Spambot wrote:The only thing you did that I disagreed with was claiming to have a one shot vig. So, what did you mean here by "Do you see what I did there?"?Spambot wrote:It's okay guys, he's a townie. I mean, as a townie, why would he lie about being a townie? It's ridiculous to think that he is scum and lying about being a townie. Since that is not the case, we can safely mark him as confirmed.Qman wrote:Why not? If it's down to me and one other, why not say I'm town. It's not like i'm a power role.JDodge wrote:Qman: why the claim?
It also lets you know you can take me out of consideration, it's not as if the town doesn't have a massive advantage right now, I wouldn't gain anything out of lying to you all.I'll wait for Whome to clear or confirm either NAR or Remus to vote or one of em. If he investigates me, well, you'll know i didn't lie.
But I'd have to agree, I think it'll be remus.
(Do you see what I did there?)
