Yeah, she sent me the daykill. If I hadn't been at school, I would've won as an SK. As it goes, though, I won the game anyway so no hard feelings.

Yay. Glad my team won. If I had thought the Postman's hat wouldn't be a vanilla hat then I would've gotten it. Sigh.

IIRC, I never did send that PM to MeMe asking whether those should be run as Mini Themes or Large Themes; I'll do that now.

If they're Mini Themes, they'll run after I finish Unreal Tournament (which should be a short game) and we get a third mod for the game that used to be Lord Gurgi's.

If they're a Large Theme, then it will be my next project (we'll still need the third mod, though).

Never mind. If I had known I could still have won even as an SK, I would have claimed and ended the damn game. I did not expect the mask to turn me into an SK, it was totally and completely hilarious.
You though it was funny for
you
. I got the shock of my life being turned from Vig to SK with-the-apparently-perfect-claim-and-great-immunity! I was so frustrated when FL uesed that Mod-meta to get me - I even had
my
own Mod-meta arguments to back it up, but I kinda felt a lassitude etc. But I
won as town
anyway - which is hysterical. Also, flavor text makes me really feel for I-didn't-mean-to-be-an-SK-Link.

I
was
really proud of catching Siro and getting him bandwagoned hard he had to claim. I guess everyone thought it was a good claim. Frankly I didn't know the flavor well enough and only knew that his response to me had basically shouted scum.

Woot! Told you I was a Vig - er . . .

Was trying to play like a bloody Vig. Not, as I see now, optimal. But I did end up helping the faction I started and won as - and I didn't think my play was too shabby either. In a weird way, I'm quite content.

Too fast paced to send in night actions?
"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

You know, I did kill you because you were lurking awfully and stuff - you looked like an intuitive Vig kill, which was what I was after. The fact that I did it a few hours after you endgamed me in Mirth's game
did
make me feel a bit better about that one 8-). We both won as Town (!) though, so I think it's good all around.

So apparently the game could/probably should have been over after Mask Draft 5? That was the last time the SK(?) had a chance at winning.

@modkill deciding the game: Rules are rules. I recall reading someplace to be liberal with modkills, even if it meant handing the game to scum (or in this case, Town).

Hey Tarhalindur, what was the deal with making the Giant's Mask my True Mask? Did my irrational choice of not choosing it at the beginning of the game help?
Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.

I strongly considered it, and if I was using a slightly different version of the town win condition ("you win when there are no anti-Town players left in the game" or similar) I would have ended it there. The problem was the "other factions have left the game, or nothing can prevent the same" wasn't applicable with the Fierce Deity's Mask still in the game (even calling the game on Day 6 was a bit of a stretch by that standard).

Why make the Giant's Mask your True Mask? Because I wanted to give a townie *some* reason to pick it, since it was so useful for the Mafia, and because I wanted to give some vanilla Townies True Masks. (Also, I generally consider forcelynch a TOWN ability, since it can buy the Town time at LyLo, and it was a good flavor fit for the Mask.)

As to choosing or not choosing it... frankly, that depends on how you would have used it Day 5, and whether not having the second double-vote would have hurt the Town's ability to

If I'd been in your position, I probably would have killed an unconfirmed (Vi in particular could have been explain by a vig shot, especially if you had said earlier that you thought he was somewhat scummy.

Of course, if you had known that the Mafia would fail to kill D2, a shot at somebody mostly confirmed (say, Seraphim or Sajin) could also have served you well (at the price of that Vig claim)...

--

As an aside, I dodged an EXTREMELY broken Mask + Role interaction here that I only thought about D2. (The Town was on the right track to finding it, but they never realized the last, key part of the combo.)

The combo? Rosa Sisters wearing the Mask of Truth and the Stone Mask (a double-voting, untargetable Cop). As long as the town trusts the combo and neither of the Masks is removed (and if Tingle was killed removing those Masks would be impossible), it was literally IMPOSSIBLE for a single scum to win the game.

(Hell, Stone Mask on Rosa Sisters would have been nearly gamebreaking by itself. One scenario that WAS brought to my attention before the game was Rosa Sisters with the Stone Mask and the Fierce Deity's Mask...)
