Wait, wait, wait. So the mafia won...during the actual 11th Hour of the game? I think they were encouraged by my appearance on the program to make the push for victory.

I have no doubt that fear of your coming prompted them to make the desperate push for victory in hopes of eluding you.

Damn it was a shame I had to be replaced. That was a fun game - but too fast for me to just go away for a week. PJ did far better than I was doing anyway... I kept following, and I can at least take solace in the fact that when I was FBI I made a start on investigating Spambot

Good game, everyone.
Yeah, like Spambot said, I didn't even know who my scum-buddies were this game, I had to find them by sending out activation e-mails first, and I couldn't even kill until I had found both of them them. So, when Xdaamo announced he was investigating me, I figured I was dead, no way to avoid it at all, until during hour 3 I came up with the idea of getting "hacked".

What annoyed me was there was a simple way to get 'out' of the hack, yet it just seemed to get lost in pointless conversation

Also, that one conversation between me and Yos via PM that was eventually posted:
That was me trying to get Yos's trust, with Yos trying to be as townie as possible toward me. I wasn't activated and he didn't know I was also mafia. When Albert demanded to know why Yos posted Jack's movement that one time int he thread, it was priceless that we had such a perfect set up prepared to deflect blame off of both of us at the same time.

I am not pleased with my play in this game; ironically like Xdam and Albert are the townies I am quite happy with. I am unwatching this topic as I don't really have a desire to revisit this game, at all.
Again, well done scum, especially Yos, the hacking stuff was so obvious and you explained it away like *that*. No worries scum for being mean -- for
UA or I should have been director. Or CTD . "I am town." .
Later.

I'd like to point out I feel this setup was probably a littl unbalanced... the power roles could fall into scum hands alone would make this shifty but the amount of confusion the scum can create just stops us from achieveing anything.

I'll agree that a lot of misdirection is needed, however the mafia couldn't even kill until all the members were activated. Until then they are virtually townies that could get revealed at any moment.
I think if Yos wasn't the director mafia would have stood no chance. I mean with the possibility of up to five cop rolls (SIAs if they were watching us would have seen our Night Kills or if we were communicating out of thread), and three cryptos, you could have made it very very hard on us. However since Yos was director we had a full proof way to communicate out of thread without SIAs noticing.
There was a few things that I noticed the town could have done better with. The first and foremost would have been a mandatory Director change every four hours. It would have forced the Director to always maintain townie decisions, and also to vacate his spot.
SIAs constantly changing which crypto they sent information to, having three cryptos so its a big game of wack a mole for mafia if they try to kill a crypto.
The problem is the only way to coordinate these things is with a non-scum director. A revolving door director would not have exactly made it sure that the scum couldn't get the position, but it would have forced the director to act in the interests of the town either way. And if there WAS a problem the Director could be forced to step down on threat of lynch and then basically put in a useless role (or no role) until an investigation is concluded on them. Or they could be lynched depending on the circumstances.
The way I saw this game being played by town, of which it wasn't, was a revolving door where no one was in the same role for more than 4 hours. I think the fact that the town played so stiffly and the mafia was improvising and making up new tricks throughout the game was the reason mafia won.
At least, that is my analysis of the game. Town played it too much like it was just town vs mafia, even though they had so many goodies to play with.

Kinetic, somebody could of suggested that and if we had a clever scum director (Like we did) it would get snowed under by other ideas, tricks, etc. I think the only game-breaking mistake we did was putting Yos, a clever player there, without any investigation on him.

Yeah...I think the game was actually pretty much balanced towards the town's advantage. Not only couldn't I kill until I had found both my scum partners (which happened hour 6 and hour 8), I couldn't even put them into key positions, or manipulate the vote so someone else would get lynched, or anything. And with all the cop investigations, even with the chance of a few of them being forged; not to mention if any SIA been watching me, they could have seen me trying to activate the other scum.
I'm just lucky no SIA was watching me hour 3; that's when I told the snipers to set up their ambush in FDR park, while trying to set everything up for the hack to work. I don't think I could have explained THAT one away if I'd been seen doing that, heh heh.

No, No. I am MR. 11th Hour, and I self-promote myself to be able to break any game in my victory if I survive into the game's 11th hour. This game went into Hour 11, I showed up, and the mafia won in the 11th Hour during the game's 11th Hour, and I claimed that my appearance inspired them to follow my example of being awesome in the 11th Hour.Kinetic wrote:lol.
