Currently under Mini Theme queues, uPicks have "procedurally bastard dynamics" - which lumps it into the same category as
games where the moderator can outright rig the game
.
A uPick without the possibility of bastard roles would be marked no for "mechanically bastard roles or mechanics" but that still means a role that enables direct mod influence like
Moderator 1-shot Factional Kill Enabler would be able to exist.
Grand Idea is of course both mechanically and procedurally bastard for reasons anyone who knows what Grand Idea is should know.

The bastardy condition against non-randomness used to be
un-divulged
non-randomness in player role/alignment generation, which means that uPicks weren't bastard as the non-randomness was known in signups.

I think there was a similar discussion in discord a couple months ago, which I was open to then and I’m still open to having, and might be better served in its own thread though.

There was a hip fire modkill in 2018 team mafia and I may have semi ‘confed’ myself as town in a game by playing up the potential that I might have to be modkilled in a situation where I knew I would not. As far as I am aware, no other high profile modkill situations happened that influenced it.
I think there was a forum thread for the proposed bastard flag changes, although I’d have to go digging to find it.
On the topic of the new rules, is flipping the mod/reviewer at the beginning of the game or using them to demonstrate rules like how to vote against the new rules?

Good, point, "except yourself" could be added into that.
