Let me explain that a bit.

elle didn't roleblock me. elle vanillized me, and I almost flew into a panic when she said she was a roleblocker, because that didn't make any sense (had I been targeted by yet on N1?). See the posts in which I talked about hoping it hadn't affected the coin. On D2 Daybreak, I got a PM saying I had lost my abilities, so it didn't occur to me it was a roleblocker--the natural assumption there is a vanillizer.

So I wasn't afraid of asking for the coin, because my assumption (which was, blissfully, correct) was vanillizer. I had my timeline wrong at the start, because I thought Syryana could only hand out the coin at Night. That was why I made up the bulletproof bit including , so we would have two Nights of fake protection and hopefully scum not coming after either of us. When I instead received the coin during D3, I realized that my timeline was wrong, but decided to milk it, in case someone showed too much knowledge of events or tried to block me that Night (since my action wasn't Night-roleblockable to begin with, given that I handed in the name on D3--but it might have been blocked by a perma-blocker, thus my coin-related freak out when elle claimed.

Syryana handed me the coin on D3, we played around with some theater to keep people distracted, I gave him the name, N3 had a kill attempt on someone who is not in the game.

How's that?


Want to talk about D1? Is it the Thor thing? I frankly still don't regret that lynch, though it's mostly because I think Thor can be toxic in a game and cannot scumhunt.

Hmm...a vanillizer makes more sense. Why I was about to jump down the rabbit hole before was because I thought the coin was a night /night deal. Since Syry commuted night one, he couldn't have possibly have given you the coin on night one, and I didn't get any indication in the neighborhood that he had given it during the day to make me think it was any different. So my wtf paranoia was that he gave you the coin on night two (because the next day you said he already gave it to you), but then you were pushing to lynch him on day three, which didn't make sense because you should have known who gave you the coin and wouldn't be wanting to lynch him if you did have the coin. It's why I really wanted to know what day you got the coin.

As far as Thor - I agree that he can be really toxic. I still do think that the reasoning to lynch him was terrible, and if it was policy then safetydance was just as toxic of an individual but there was the big ol meta push to save him when he wasn't even playing in order to lynch someone who was. They're both toxic, but I'll take someone who's putting in effort and is toxic over someone who isn't and is toxic any day.

To be fair, at least SafetyDance isn't leading someone in a big ol' thread derailing distraction--I tried to keep you from going in that direction, and you did. Thor is prone to do that much more frequently. And I didn't have a Townread on Thor, so.

And yes, I was pushing Syryana D3. I can tell you that I got the coin after this post, so everything after that was theater between us.

Nah, I have a terribad memory. I looked back earlier to find my previous roll when making post 4103 to double check that it was at Thor and I noticed it.

My kanye read is out there. My Titus read is mostly just a continuation on my Zdenek read from the previous day, where my vote stayed. Not really sure that the overnight/explanation changes that, hence my vote there. Part of me agrees that it'd be weird of scum to choose to no kill last night just to try and earn Titus some obvious town-cred so that maybe she could clear some of them, too - but then idk, why not if they weren't expecting a vig kill - especially when their kills are getting blocked by something.

PrideandJoy is mostly gut and their weird pushes on me feel like scum baiting to see who bites - in combination with a lot of others points on PnJ that I've read recently, like Cephrir's 4089 that I kind of just nod along/agree with.

There were better reasons at some point - but they got washed up in my week+ of awayness - and again, terribad memory. I keep telling myself I'll go back and re-read but yeah, never do.

- AGar's reasoning on Titus seems to stem from a town mindset - I cant see scum going 1:1 so soon after Quadz tried it on D4
- Garruk's push on kanye and the three ability theory look like a paranoid townie mindset - not that difficult to fake though but leaning town

Which leaves TheAlch, elle and PnJ and all three of them have votes on town. I'd really like to vote TheAlchemist the most because
- there have been times, the other two, when I've felt town vibes from their post.
- PnJ's pushes and play seem more random than scum motivated; Also the quadz interaction - if it was bussing, was an awkward bus

I find that really convoluted logic is often genuine. Particularly when related to scumhunting. Because scum would just come up with something less crazy, whereas townies often have to try to puzzle out why their gut feels the way it does.

I don't think Garruk's theory really qualifies, though.
