Mmm... good point. Except that I'm not finding anyone sufficiently suspicious.semioldguy wrote:Not voting or looking for suspicious people could prolong this game, and hence your retirement.
Maybe if the scum came forward and identified themselves, now that would make my life easier.
Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

I don't really think it was. The part in italics was a joke.semioldguy wrote:How is that an attempt to get you to unvote?
I also am sad to see DGB leaving.
Is it soon yet? Are you stalling until the last day before the deadline?A day and a half ago, Lowell wrote:Will respond to all soon.

SOG - I am still here. At this point, pretty much anything I say to you, you're going to pick apart, so I don't really feel the need to spend a lot of time responding to that entire post just so that you can post another long reply. We're just going to go back and forth like we did at the end of Day 1.
If there is a specific question that is burning a hole in your brain, then I'll gladly answer it, but I have neither the time nor inclination to respond to that entire thing, especially since you won't consider it particularly probative. You're just looking for more ammunition.
I want to do a re-read of Day 1. There's probably something there. But, I second the request for prods.

Then I am more than happy with my vote on you. I am more than convinced that your actions (or rather lack of actions), contradictory nature and misrepresentations are not protown and your refusal to explain these aspects and the conclusions you jump to are further incriminating. Your assumptions about what I will do with your replies are more jumps to conclusions and do not accurately reflect my motivation.
Also no one needs to be prodded right now. Diamondilium is V/LA this week while Kieraen and kabenon007 both need to be replaced. With the massive amount of Minis in need of replacements right now, I wouldn't count on getting them anytime real soon.

This is killing me to write this because you guys have so clearly plugged through my greater than week long abscence, which I appreciate.
I'm not able to continue modding this game. My work priorities need some serious attention, which is pushing time out of my evenings to keep up on MS. Truthfully, I was shirking work somewhat to get things done here, but the last couple weeks I've had to reevaluate how I'm prioritizing, and MS (and other things) are causing me some issues.
If I were in a place to, I would seek out a replacement mod for you guys, but I need to step away clean. If there is someone able to step in, I will gladly provide any needed info. Best to catch me by email, which I just "de-cloaked" in my profile.
I'm very sorry to bail on you.

OK, I've PMed gorckat requesting set-up, assignments, choices, etc. but, before I go looking for a replacement mod, you all have 60 hours to PM me and let me know if you want the game to continue. If a majority of you (5) PM me during that time, I'll do what I can, but I don't want to saddle a new mod with a dead game!

Wow! You're....punctual.
Yes -- I had three PMed requests to continue out of a necessary five, so this game is officially abandoned. However, gorckat did send me the set-up/role assignments/night choices, which is cut & pasted below.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Town
evilevilmatt:
You are the Landscaper. You mowed your first lawn at age 10, learning to handle a riding lawnmower on your grandfather's farm. He let you drive it around town and mow neighbors' lawns in northern Baltimore County during your high school summers, and decent summer money turned into a good paying career. Schools, then golf courses and then a ridiculously overpaid position running the grounds at a pristine campus in western Maryland for Dynaplex. You never set foot inside the main building until Z-Day.
You win with the survivors who don't want to use your flesh as zombie bait.
kabenon:
You are the Security Guard. After four years with the Marines, you became a police officer in Baltimore City. Looking for something safer, you applied to a mysterious ad looking for security guards for a "Western Maryland Corporation". Dynaplex was been good to you. Too bad the world ended.
You win with the survivors who don't want to use your flesh as zombie bait.
Lowell:
You are the Maintenance Technician. You graduated first in your class at the Eastern Vocational/Technical High School just outside Baltimore. A few years with a refrigeration company, another 2 years doing apartment maintenance, and then you applied to Dynaplex. They were a good employer- solid benefits, lots of training and you were never told "There's no money in the budget for that".
Pick even nights or odd nights before the game begins...those are the nights you climb up into the ceiling and are safe from harm.
You win with the survivors who don't want to use your flesh as zombie bait.
semioldguy:
You are the Network Administrator. You've always been good with computers. You got your first IBM PC when you were only five years old. Dynaplex was a dream job- you got to code parts of projects so secret that just thinking about them could get you killed.
Once per night, you can access the TAP system and configure the electronic lock on another player's door so that it won't open until the morning. PM the mod your choice during the night.
You win with the survivors who don't want to use your flesh as zombie bait.
DGB:
You are the Janitor. You were never much for technical work, but you kept your nose clean, stayed out of trouble and managed to land a government job requiring a security clearance. The pay was great, even if the workload was huge.
You win with the survivors who don't want to use your flesh as zombie bait.
Diamondilium:
You are the Section Manager. After turning around the sales department of an ailing electronics store, you accepted a managerial position in a government farm subsidy program. The American people needed to believe that money sunk into farms otherwise losing money was in their best interest- they needed to be sold. Your enthusiasm and ability to make people make others swallow swill was noticed by a recruiter for Dynaplex and for the last seven years you've sold your employees on the idea that what they do means something. Not that you pay any attention to what it is that they do.
You win with the survivors who don't want to use your flesh as zombie bait.
Mafia:
Herodotus:
You are the Office Manager. Efficiency. Structure. Order. Life can be, and yours is, managed by spreadsheets. The offices you've worked in, from construction companies to non-profits to secret government installations, have never wanted for necessities. Luxuries not budgeted for...that's a different story.
The world needs structure now, not cowardice.
You win with your partners Gateway and Rishi when you make up at least half of the survivors and can use the other half as bait.
Night Talk will be here: http://www.quicktopic.com/43/H/YRngLQvvHXPmZ
Rishi:
You are the Lawyer. You made honor roll in kindergarten at Norrisville Elementary by snatching little Robbie Myers' homework and making "dog" look like "dag". You signed a permission slip in your parents' names and convinced the teacher that your taught them cursive. In the fourth grade. You're ruthless. You get what you want. You blackmailed a Senator and landed a post at Dynaplex making sure they didn't break the law. Or, in your case, making sure that laws didn't exist that would inconvenience Dynaplex.
You've got a penthouse in DC that needs checking on- gold bars should be worth something these days and you've got a stash.
kieraen:
You are the Health Services Coordinator. You were going to be a doctor- as a kid you could play Operation two-handed and clear the board without setting off the buzzer in under 30 seconds. Then you learned what it took to be a doctor and settled on Health Management. You fell into a position at Legg Mason in downtown Baltimore promoting weight loss programs. Apparently the government and its contractors are full of fat asses- you ended up at Dynaplex when the economy went sour with the Dot Com Bubble Burst.
Fat people make good zombie bait.
