LQ, could I have your immediate thoughts on Andre, Nero, and Loftwing?

I have a good reason for suspecting Andre but I am not allowed to say why. Nero, I feel, is not really being that argumentative this game which kind of irks my gut. And then there's Loftwing who said he liked the Andres vote, but then he never even voted there.

I want to know what you're thinking, please.

I get that people have different theories on how to play Mafia. When I first started, the players I played with had expectations that Town played as Town would, and that other things like lying, contradictions, and asking for reads (rather than providing them) were not Town behavior. In my years here I am aware that some don't think Town or Scum behaviors exist, and that only motivation is the thing to hone in on.

I'm not bent on Scum-reading you for it because I can accept that some people play the game differently if they're Town.

LOL. First off, I agree with you. I think Scum and Town have certain behaviors.

Secondly, I don't play weird in the sense that I am too "out there" with HOW I play, but I am "our there" in terms of the reasons I give for my reads. I've asked people all sorts of questions trying to get a good read on them that are completely unrelated to the game, for example. I once asked someone if they were a flat earther in order to try and get a better read on them.

Andre I am Lightly TRing because I think I saw there were a number of times he slipped he didn't have TMI. I have not played with them before but I'm not SRing them for seemingly contradicting themselves because I'm waiting to see how that develops in what I would call a narrative read.

Nero I am Lightly SRing or Leaning Scum on him. It's probably a Scum Lean at this point since he is slanking in activity. I do believe Nero has a volume tell. There's also the fact that his reasons for SRing me are really really bad (go back and look if you're interested).

Personally, I like Loftwing. I think they are a bit awkward, but they started out alright I think. They gave takes on four players when other people were mostly just chewing the fat and I like that. It's vibe mostly though. Light TR.

I’m also not townreading Nero right now.

It’s not an: "holy shit, kill them ASAP" read. But it’s an: "dude, where’s the town at?" read.

I do have reads on more slots than i’m letting on, but i don’t want to share them because that makes me less predictable for scum.

titus i've already explained - that's a slot im very willing to bin for today because their posting feels like her town meta.

norwee has the town norwee energy. If i'm wrong on him now I'll find him as scum later this dayphase so im not even remotely worried about that read right now.

ranny thought process is very plainly town to me - and they're operating fairly complex.

all of these are holistic interpretations of their respective ISOs so far so there aren't any really "specific" posts I point to to say they are town.

Even if Koba is scum most of these reads are likely genuine.

I don’t know that describing my Scum meta is of any use here when you don’t trust my alignment. What I can do is link you to a few discussions around it that I thought were decent when it came to my Scum meta, which might be more useful.

I don’t like to lurk as either alignment for the record. I just get left behind sometimes. What you’re seen is just life getting in the way. I had more time here to start reading from the very beginning, so I’ve been more active. If you look through my history, you’ll see various levels of engagement as Town. Which is why I questioned how many of my games you had actually read - because if you had read more games, you would have quickly realized that I can be quite active when I want to be.

But c’mon Koba you know better. I’m not seeing the reasons for your reads of certain players at all because they’re leaving lazy votes on my slot and I’m Town. Norwegian and Titus just decided to make crappy early arguments and double down on them, but you TR that? What will happen when I flip Town then? Will you wake up or continue pushing DW or LQ aside who I would argue at this point are quite likely to be Town.

I don’t know what to do about your argument with Kyouko. Kyouko has basically SR me every time they’re Town, and either ignored or defended me as Scum. So I’m always wary when I start seeing Kyouko make assumptions about my alignment when attacking other players. But this does feel a bit different - so it’s possible they’ve just read me right.
