Vote:Massive

1. I think that a has-been is a perfect role for scum in this game.
2. He is searching for stuff to pin on others e.g. blackhawk and zoneace.
3. We don't have anything else to go on here. I think that the discussion a bandwagon on Massive will generate will net us more value than the last two days have given us.

So what you are saying, Dirge, is that the things that YOU find suspicious are more worthy than the things *I* find suspicious? If you want to toot your own horn, that's fine, but don't do it at my expense.

I'm making stuff up about ZONEACE? I stated my suspicions of him on the last page. They are no more and no less than the "evidence" you are presenting against me. I'd say, in fact, that they're better, since one of the horrible points you're presenting is "we have nothing else to go on," when clearly I've put out my thoughts (and so have other people). I still can't find anything about me and blackhawk; I can only assume you mean big_kahunia, who I (again) had a valid reason for voting, and probably should continue to vote for.

I've already said that however you feel about certain pop-star's current status can't be taken into account in this game. I'm certainly not going to. We've already had one has-been dead in this game, and she was townie. So explain to me again how your logic is any better than mine?

Or am I trying to pin this on you too?

My apologies for being quiet recently, I didn't find much to comment on while half-asleep. Now that I have actually gotten some rest, I think it's time to point out a few little things.
1) I think that Talitha gave us a clue as to who the killers might be. 'A slim, dark figure'- does this only remind me of real slim shady? It might be a stretch; however, the groups that are most likely to be anti-pop, imo, are other musical genres, such as rap. Now personally I prefer such music to pop (and prefer a sledgehammer to the head over both) and my role has had good relations with said person, but I think that this is where we should look for scum. Of course, once one of them dies (as is likely with lynches and a serial killer running around/over/through), we will have a much better idea.

2)
fos: massive
, for what looks like mis-representation of what bk said, which is the foundation of crap logic imo, he never said that he was certain that there is a sk and mafia, oh and while I'm at it
unvote: massive
, I always forget about my random votes, they don't matter enough to me to remember.

3) BK, in the future if you have a question about your role, just ask the mod via pm, they might not be able to answer fully, but at least it won't make you semi-suspicious to other players ^_^ (I have just recently asked about a role I received in another game, so don't be shy about asking ^_^, but don't tell us the answer)

4) bh, when might you be ungrounded? That way I can fos you for something ^_^

5) I think I am most interested in seeing what nard and carmine have to say at this point. Shortish posts with little substance (imo) have always raised red-flags in my head about someone trying to keep under radar (which is ironic that they do the opposite with me *shrug*). However, since I haven't had time recently I can't put too much weight into it until I have time to post a lot more ^_^

so, tigris, you think that Eminem is in the game and that he is a killing role of some kind? what makes you think that other than the "clue" from talthia. do you have some extra info that we need to know?

Well, to my eye it is a better presupposition then has-beens being the killing groups. Secondly, even if I did have information I would not come out with it day one, as that would be utterly moronic and I like to delude myself by thinking that I am not.

Let's say for a moment that it is another "artist", which genre takes the most shots at pop and who from that genre takes the most shots at pop (granted I do not pay much attention to music ever since Cobain)? To my recollection that would be rap and Eminem. I do find it interesting that no one else seems to have brought this up.

As for my earlier deliberations as to who would kill PBuG, I'm beginning to lean increasingly towards the impatient crowd, for now at least.

Sorry for not being more active - as I posted in the absences thread, I haven't had much of a connection going on in the evenings/weekends. However, we now have ADSL (yay :D) so I can be back properly. On the other hand, I've got a screaming hangover so I can't guarantee much sense until tomorrow :P

My suspicions of JereIC are far from being laid to rest, but for the moment I think I'll accept that it was just a slip and
Unvote: JereIC
.

WRT what type of role might be in a killing group, both ideas (has-beens and rap stars) seem equally valid to me (maybe it's both). Then again, maybe it's unheard-ofs that want to break into the music world, or a disgruntled ex-manager. I put up Simon Cowell as a prime candidate for serial killer too :)

My opinions on Tigris' 5 points:

1. I'm not ruling out any one type of musician for being scum. It could be a rapper because of their anger and grudge against pop. It could be has-beens still trying to get back into the business. It could be a fairly famous person that is just trying to eliminate competition. I haven't decided which one...

2. I think its being blown out of proportion, but it could be helpful if anything comes up that further incriminates either massive or blackhawk.

3. Agrees. I've asked about a role before as well.

4. I'll just stay away from that one :)

5. I'm always quiet....don't mind me. :D

No, I think the SK is a pop star that doesnt attract many people like Barbara Streisand or those other Las Vegas singers: Barry Manilowe, Tony Bennet, other people

Somehow I just don't buy the idea of Tony Bennett as evil... (But i suppose it's possible...)

Massive still seems a bit suss -
FOS Massive

And I have to go with my gut here
Vote: JereIC
for being the most suspisious..

And it also gets my name of the list of nonvoters, on which my name appears in a rather unfortunate position...

A hunch? Isn't hunch what the mafia use when they have no real control over the town and need to get them to vote for a townie?

I actually feel pretty good about voting Dirge right now; he's been acting a little more eratic than normal. Also, he seems to be spreading some disinformation about the killing groups being the delaying party, and seems really interested in the SK.

everyones got one vote at the mo. We're going nowhere until someone starts a bandwagon. I'm willing to vote for whomever everyone else thinks is the most suspisious. (Of those at the top of my list anyway...)

Well there goes my chances of starting a bandwagon :D

Also, I'd suggest a little less of random scum calling, and more intelligent thought. Also, I think you guys are going for Misinformation, unless Dirge and JereIC happen to both be ruling small nations I don't know about*

I'll go ahead and
FOS: Dirge, ZONEACE
for both reacting violently with namecalling instead of arguements. At this point, I think you've both been random enough to warrant a little suspicion.

I'm sorry, I guess "name-calling" wasn't quite the right word. Its kind of my personal terminology for trying to draw votes onto a person by finding some smallish flaw in what they said once, then doing things like bolding
MAFIA!!!!111
or such. I guess you aren't really as guilty of it as Dirge, but by taking the fact that Dirge claimed to use a "hunch", meaning to me he has info he can't reveal yet, and saying that definitely means he's mafia, it juust tripped my alarm.

Once again, Dirge is probabaly more guilty of this than you. It was just enough to draw my FOS.
