I'm freaking serious about the twilight posting. Stop it. Just because I'm not here doesn't mean you can post away!!

Mod, what is the win condition for traitor and scum?
If there are two scum aligned players left against one town aligned player in the morning the game will end, regardless of the set up (2 assassins, 1 assassin and 1 traitor).
To business...
It is day 5.
5 players remain: Sarcastro, Setael, Shanba, d3sisted, soupfly.
3 votes are needed for any action.
3 votes for Shanba (soupfly, Setael, Sarcastro)
1 vote for Sarcastro (Shanba)
1 player did not vote: d3sisted.

Many days have passed, and ideas have been spewed for scenes blah blah blah. And I have run out of ideas.
So I guess you all called Scorpius on the intercom and told him it was time for Shanba to die. So he came, and he took Shanba away, and Shanba died a horrible death. By flaying, or some such monstrosity. Lots of blood. But Scorpius is upset - because Shanba was yet another

. I guess this whole finding evil people thing isn't going so well for you...It is Night. PM me! Deadline set for Friday @ 22:00 GMT.
What are you pressing select for? You don't got time to make a profile!
The nights were quiet now. Quieter than you could ever remember. The only regular sounds to be heard were the low hum of the space station's engine and, should you dare to go near him, the constant pacing of Scorpius in his quarters. The crew numbers had dwindled constantly - clearly you were running out of time and the Scarrans were gaining the upper hand.
As you made your way from the mess hall to your quarters, you heard footsteps following you. You turned and found d3sisted right behind you. He was fervent with paranoia, and babbling about powers of vision and an inane ability to see things others couldn't. You chalked it up to the nightly fear of being the next victim and attempted to calm him down. As he slowly wilted into a restless sleep in the middle of the corridor, you suddenly realised there was another presence you hadn't heard approach.
It was Sarcastro. And he had someone cowering behind him in the dark. You could just about make out the features of a Stark prisoner - this one was called Setael. As you stood to face Sarcastro and ask him just why he had a prisoner loose in his presence, he struck with lightning speed and cut the head off d3sisted. His head simply rolled to the side, resting on one cheek with the nose on the floor, the sweat beads still visible on his forehead.
Before you could react, Setael bounded forward and clunked you on the head. The last thing you felt was a searing heat coming towards you...
Well done, Scum. You win!
Full Role List:
Sarcastro - Assassin
AlyG - Assassin
Setael - Stark
D3sisted - Aurora Operator
Yagami - Delvian Pa'u
Everyone Else - Grunts
Hope you enjoyed the game! (Er... do all mods usually tell everyone what each of the night actions were in a collective post?? Do you want me to do that??)

OK, I only went to night because there was always the chance that the Assassin could kill his traitor (even with the d3sisted claim) but Sarcastro has chosen a different victim, so I called the game.

I have to say, I'm shocked we won. Especially after the town took out ALyG on D1. When I added my vote to d3sisted's, I was obviously hoping Sarcastro would get online and vote before anyone else saw that I'd put Shanba at -1. I thought it was pretty obvious I was the traitor and was shocked when soupfly voted Shanba. I then didn't want to vote until Sarcastro voted, since it was the obvious move for him, but would make me look really scummy. When Sarcastro seemed to be stalling, I decided to just vote and see what would happen. I thought there was a good chance soupfly would unvote and yell "Gotcha!"
So anyway, yeah... shocked we won.
Don't be too hard on soupfly. I made that exact mistake in my first newbie game. I give a lot of credit to Rhapsody. Played well enough to not get investigated, which would have been game over.

First, I'm sorry for flaking out on this game. Basically, I couldn't keep up with the pace. I really can put a lot of effort into my games 2-3 days out of the week. I found myself falling behind and playing catchup week after week and it got to be a real stressful strain on me.
Thanks Sarc, for the replacement. You killed everyone I would've killed in the same order.
Another thing I need to address is Ether's replacement. Ether did not flake on this game at all, and fully intended on seeing it all the way through. She was unable to because of some stupidity on my part. Not knowing that she knew who Rhapsody was, I asked her a question about this game with my alt which may have affected her opinion towards the game. This was a terrible mistake that I will never repeat again and am deeply embarrassed about. I will not be playing any this or any other alt in the future. It was an experiment that went wrong in several ways, but this particular issue was the worst of it.
I'll post some game thoughts in another post.

As far as the game...
I bussed AlyG day 1. Completely. There's not really a nice way to say this, but basically, I saw his play and decided that I'd be better off without him in the way possibly screwing things up. No offense, AlyG, but I play to win.
The funniest part of this game is that I thought that Ether was my traitor. My case on her was completely genuine in that I thought she was scum for all the reasons I said. But the only reason I made the case was for distancing purposes. Otherwise, I probably would've left her alone. With soupfly and eldarad both tying us together, I felt it was important to go after her full force in order to break that tie. What's even funnier is that Ether's defense post to my attack contained the words 'Shut up.' And a mention that she might be lynched. So I thought it was a signal from her to back off, and I did.
I never once thought Setael was my traitor. She had me completely snowed.
I think this was a tough game for scum to win with two roles able to confirm innocents. I'd almost complain about the balance, but scum won so I can't.

fine, lay all the blame on me. i'll take it.
i did my best. only thing i was wrong on was ether/shanba. i got it in my head that she was scum and couldn't let go. aside from that i was right on most other things...including eldarad, setael. if not for the claim i'd have lynched setael for sure. unfortunately i chose wrong on shanba vs. sarcastro. i should have known...in a way i did but i went with logic instead of my gut...damn it.

Eldarad made me promise I wouldn't brag about my sterling end-of-day voting record.
I don't like secret alts. I know there's been a trend toward them, and that saddens me on many, many levels. They shut out social aspects of the community, and I tend to think metagaming is just part of the game. Worse, people just seem more inclined to act like idiots on their alts. Ibby (Rhapsody) admitted she was curious to play that way, same wording. Some other examples. Thin_Man's weird--he was more active as a secret alt, but at some point I understand the looseness actually offended Sarcastro. (He's since been outed, and I don't know what he's like now. I hear he lurks. :P) These are role models, socialites, and not the only ones. Stop it?
(That said, my scumdar deals in sinister vibes, probably a lot more than it should. There's something about Rhapsody's early illiteracy that made me softer on her, even knowing who she really was. Quiet, you.)
On Day 3, I spent a bunch of posts trying to post reasonable defenses over attacks that I still think were fucking stupid. The instant I cursed, caricatured the last three posts and threw in a witty jab at someone who wasn't playing for good measure, I rallied Patrick and Mexal and get everything back on-track again. no.
Being trustworthy in a game and being likeable as a human being are two completely different things. Keep in mind that I'm the sort of person who pulled strings to replace Kilroy instead of my godmother, who had actually requested replacement. I am completely here to make friends; nonetheless, Rhapsody hit more nerves with me when she stopped holding her Ibby-vibes back. And you'd better not ever, ever forget that your emotions completely owned you in this case.

what a bunch of crap ether. is that how things go on this site? i've never seen anything like this. considering alts, personal relationships compromising the game and lots of other townie mistakes i think your recent posts ether earn you a well deserved STFU. i thought i was playing the game straight up, but this is more like a high school soap opera than it is a fair game.
and next time you feel like calling somebody a complete fucking idiot, consider that it only makes you look small by hiding behind this thing called the internet. if you wanna be tough and such, do it in real life. try telling somebody that to their face and see where it gets you.
Good Night, and Good Luck Folk

Holy crap. I actually won.
All the credit goes to Setael and Rhapsody. I think all of my kills were fairly obvious (at least Patrick and d3sisted were).
I had no idea I was going to win when I voted for Shanba. I actually thought at the time that Shanba was the most likely traitor, so yeah, that was basically me hoping that I was wrong, since I would have been totally screwed had Shanba actually been the traitor.
I don't think Soupfly can be blamed for the town's loss. I didn't exactly like his play at the end (why exactly did you think that the traitor was one of me and Shanba?), but I don't think it's his fault. The scum
Anyway, I have to say that it doesn't feel completely like a win, since I didn't play (or even read) the whole game. Congratulations to Setael especially, though, who played so well even I didn't think he was the traitor.

soupfly, just what are you on about?
Are you angry because Ether called you an idiot?
Are you angry because of the issue I caused by playing an alt and being replaced? If so, don't blame Ether. I was the idiot who did that one.
Do you feel that you would've played the game differently had Ether not been replaced, and therefore have been cheated? If so, I profusely apologize.

For the record, you should take some of the blame. You bitched at me pretty hardcore for getting eldarad wrong but it seems I was quite right about Sarcastro and Setael. I even said this in my post before I died...that two of d3sisted, sarcastro and setael were scum.soupfly wrote:fine, lay all the blame on me. i'll take it.

Did you ever stop to think why you were still alive or even think about all the connections? Honestly, reading the last day was like reading a clinic on why metaing is bad. You didn't look at a single thing or try to work out what actually made sense. I was completely floored reading that.
I might be abrasive, pushy and aggressive, but when all is said and done, I analyze the shit out of the game. I just can't believe you didn't.
Mexal and I are going to get married, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. You can't control my life! You can't control my future! This was our mistake, and we're keeping it!!!ibaesha wrote:soupfly, just what are you on about?
