This combined with GL's scum in the actives comment made me wonder if there's an arsonist who felt the need to push back against Mena's early townlist. Dunn directly goes into a contrarian mode against Mena, whereas Guilty more subtlely implied there's scum in the active players (Mena was townreading almost all the activeish players).

I am curious as to why the only thing in the thread Dunn opted to comment at the time on was this. What made it the main thing that caught his eye, i mean. I'd like to talk about it more but I'm actually kind of missing what his point is too. What does putting the low posters in null and Farren in scum have to do with being opportunistic?

Dunn, although you may be correct that I should be one to notice you're gone -- what was the point of pointing it out in 411? Does it make you think im scummy? I struggle to find what the intention behind pointing it out was

Unless you're scum in which case it makes you look good in an indirect way. It's like a way to compensate for being inactive-- you point it out yourself before I or someone else does and it makes you look good for calling attention to something potentially scummy about yourself unprompted

He also vanished D1 in the game I played with him previously (Silent Star)

Whereas he was a huge player in my town game with him (vampirewarlockwerewolf)

Even if you accepted this as a totally sincere commitment to future scum|tea leaves, it would still mean tea leaves is Town here.
If it's just fluff, then it's no trust tell of any sort.

An argument that starts with "tea leaves is Town" and ends in "tea leaves is scum" seems like it's bad faith, unless it shows that assuming the former leads to a contradiction.
This doesn't feel like it went with assuming fluff.

Yeah this makes sense, and I’m glad you’re aware of Dunn’s meta regarding activity

I wasn’t really starting from any point for how I actually engaged that. But to talk in line with your topic, the problem with that type of tell is you can put it off however long you like and if it’s an established trend the other players would likely be hesitant to vote you because “they haven’t done the scum thing yet”. It’s not exactly what I’d consider a hard rule break, but it’s against the spirit of the game imo
And yeah I understand the point about “it wasn’t a trust tell in context”, but it came off as that so I poked it as if it were one, and rather than stand their ground, tea leaves backpedaled. That’s the key issue I think should be focused on, that backpedal action.

Ydrasse I townread but now I'm trying to figure out if my Farren vote was really so scummy that she would flip a townread into a top target scumread based on that. The reasons she's said don't justify that so I'm a lil confused.

Yeah. It’s supposed to be wifomy, but I try hard to see the truth of it anyway. Didn’t realize you were an alt.
Just say whatever you personally feel are behaviors you wouldn’t do as scum or things you only do as town etc. from your perspective.

Ok I think the thing I've done this game which I really struggle to do as scum is be really transparent with my thought process and post in a stream of consciousness way.
It's really easy for me to post like this as town and I feel free about doing it but as scum it's all faked so it's exhausting and I'm never really happy with it and it looks kinda fake I think.
I've been on no filter mode for like most of this game I think.

Well, actually it kinda does because you immediately said it which contradicts your self scum meta because it might take you longer as scum to say that.

I’m neutral on gamma.
I’m neutral on Dunn.
I’m strangely neutral on MT because I keep seeing stuff that feels kind of positiony. But also a lot of proactive effort there. So actually lean town.
I weak town lean: lion and Darren
Strong town lean: isis, tea leaves.
