Rules On what is Allowable
1) This is only a game, and I expect all players to remain somewhat civil. I will not tolerate excessive abuse upon freedom of speech, and if you push it, I reserve the right to have you replaced. In other words, be respectful to all players, as well as myself.
2) Do not talk outside of this thread, unless your role PM explicitly says you may do so, and even then, you may only communicate through your quicktopic thread. Dead players are no exception.
3) Do not edit or delete your posts in any way, shape, or form. Once you have posted something, it is there for good, unless I find reason to alter or delete your post myself.
4) Do not quote your role PMs in any way, shape, or form. You may, however, paraphrase your PM at any time, but if you go too far, I reserve the right to either replace you or to modkill you should the situation warrant.
5) Do not post in code, invisible text, excessively small text, or use [ color = black ] tags.
6) You may request mod-prods, replacements, clarifications, and vote counts from me directly in the thread, but please precede such with a bolded
Mod: So-and-so
, so that I will be able to answer you as promptly as possible.
7) Once I have officially posted that you are dead, then you are dead. Do not post any relevant information to the game whatsoever. You are, however, allowed a typical “Bah!” post of some sort.
8) You may talk during twilight about anything you wish.
9) Do not question my decisions in-thread: if you have a problem with me, take it to Private Messages. You may, of course, post problems you see with my votecounts, but that’s about as far as I’ll allow things. Do not quote any PM exchanges with me without explicit permission.
10) Try to post at least once every 48 hours. Treat the game as a committment. If you go inactive, you will be replaced.
11) This is a game! Play hard, play fair, and enjoy yourselves.
Technical Rules
12) The game starts once I make a post saying "Start of Day 1". I will unlock the thread once everyone has received their role PM. It is not necessary to PM me back or post "/confirm" in the thread: just start playing.
13) Each day the town must decide on a lynch. Once a majority has been reached on a player (or on no lynch), that player will be lynched, regardless of any subsequent unvoting.
14) Votes must be in the form
Vote: Player
otherwise they won't be counted. Players must
unvote
when switching their votes.
15) The day will begin with a set deadline. This may be extended, if discussion is particularly good, or due to extenuating circumstances. You may ask for an extension at any time in-thread or via PM, if you think it's warranted.
16) If the deadline is reached and there is no majority, the player with the most votes will be lynched.
17) If two or more players are tied for the most votes when a deadline hits, the player who reached that number of votes first shall be lynched. .
18) If you feel that you may not be able to post in-thread for a period of 72 hours or longer, please say so in-thread or send me a PM as warning. If I find it necessary, I will have you replaced, but I would much rather keep all players who sign up for any of my games.
19) When 72 hours have passed without an individual player posting, I will prod that player only if requested to do so in-thread by any other player. As a general guideline, another 72 hours without posting or accumulating 3 prods will result in replacement, though this rule is subject to change due to special circumstances.
20) Breaking a rule earns you a warning. Breaking a rule either severely or after being warned will result in modkill. Modkills will end the day if it hurts the faction the modkilled player belonged to more.
21) I reserve the right to change any and all of these rules at any time due to situations I may not have foreseen.
Game-specific rules
22) This game is nightless, meaning it consists only of day periods.
23) Each day period will be divided into three phases –"morning", "afternoon", and "twilight":
"Morning"
is defined as the first 72 hours of each day (count starts with the mod's "start of day __" post). Actions may be submitted during the morning phase, but instead of resolving instantaneously,
they resolve simultaneously at the end of the morning phase, as they would in a normal game night.
This is meant to prevent a race for being the first to "pull the trigger" at the start of each day. Actions submitted between the 72 hour mark and the mod's "end of morning" post will count regularly, but try to submit everything in time. Submitting an action during the morning phase renders you incapable of submitting another one during the afternoon.
"Afternoon"
is defined as the period between the moderator's "end of morning" post, and when either (a) the deadline is reached, or (b) a vote is cast that places a player past the 50%+1 threshold necessary for a lynch. During the afternoon phase, actions can be submitted (assuming the player submitting an action did not act during the morning phase), and
resolve instantaneously – meaning they take effect as soon as I'm here to resolve them, and in the exact order in which they were submitted.
Kills, of course, will be resolved publicly.
"Twilight"
is defined as the period between (a) the deadline and the following "Start of Day ___" post, or (b) the time of the final valid vote necessary for a lynch or nolynch was cast and the following "Start of Day ___" post.
Role actions are not valid if they are submitted during periods of twilight.
24) There are three basic categories of actions:
a.
Instant actions
: like kills and cop investigations.
b.
Rest of day actions
: like block, or protect. Take effect from the time the action is submitted, until the end of day.
c.
End of day actions
: tracker or watcher receive results, other special roles may have choices made at end of day.

You win when all anti town forces have been eliminated.
