Nice. It's not often that I get an OMGUS vote in a game I haven't posted in yet.

So, anyway, we have no information about what Buck was other than Locus' pronouncement of "Go Town". Minor character, so probably a townie, although he did work in a hospital, so something like backup doc isn't out of the question.

Not sure I agree - the intro speaks of a group of people who don't belong, so three times the same person does not really qualify.
My guess: Beatrix + Hattori Sanzo (the Japanese sword manufacturer) + Pai Mei (the Chinese white lotus priest, with the 5-step open-palm technique...).

Something along those lines would make sense to me, though something out of left field is always a possibility (though I don't think the Bride would be town, at the very least), just to try to screw up guessing like this.

Heh, I actually got to watch the second half of kill bill last night; I'd only seen the first part before. But thankfully, cable went in without a hitch, so I got to have the sweet song of punching wood serenade me as I unpacked.

Anyway, I'm moved in, but I'm still unpacking. I'm here, but the attention I pay is probably going to be minimal for the next couple of days or so until I get all these boxes emptied and out of the way.

I agree that Uma Thurman's character is probably Mafia, and the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad is pro-town. I'm just having trouble thinking who the other Mafia would be. Like Leonidas said, the only people I can think of are Hattori Hanzo and Pai Mei. And there's also that Mexican pimp or whoever he was.

The only other characters I can think of that might be scum in this context are The Groom (can't remember his name) and maybe Beatrix's daughter. I'd like to think that Samuel L. Jackson the piano player would be in the game, but I suppose that's not very likely.

It might be that you just have an unrelated side-character, but I a) doubt that, and b) am drawn to believe by my role information (and the supposition as to role alignments earlier leads me to believe that I'm not the only one) that not only is such a guess inaccurate, but that you'd probably have to be Not Town to claim such a thing.

I don't think that could be true... if my memory of the film serves me correctly, that would leave a 5 person mafia along with a serial killer, which means that half the town would be anti-town, which doesn't seem right at all. It might be possible that some of Bill's cronies weren't included in the game to keep the mafia size reasonable, but I don't think it would make sense to fill the game with side characters.

An odd thing to say. I agree that it's probably true, but either you're claiming that you're O-ren and town (not probably what you're doing), or you have some interesting information in your role PM.

As for rajr, consider the one character we already know is in the game, Buck. If I'd gotten that role, I imagine my first intuition would have been very similar to what rajr described, but there's every indication that Buck was a pro-town role. I think rajr was careless not to have picked up on the signs from the thread about the layout of the terrain, but it's no clear indicator he's scum.

An extension of what I said; Uma's character is definitely Mafia or SK considering the setup; I'd actually lean more towards a Mafia Godfather of some sort, since when she dies, essentially the game should be over. If we're going by logic and stuff.
