I'm surprised war exists in this game, actually. I had assumed that flavor didn't determine role meant that all the flavor claims were common mobs. (vanilla mom and JoaT hive would be kind of weird). Anyway, I'm a hopper.

Why would you assume that rolename makes no difference?
Even the vanilla sample in the OP as well as my own wincon states that the scum are the children

The OP specifically states that roles are not related to flavor. Reread my RVS vote and you'll realize there was never any confusion re: children-scum.
Obviously you two know the roles and flavor are unrelated or neither of you would have claimed so quickly.
