Rules:
- * Votes must be made in bold (for example,
Vote: Glork
). If you wish to change your vote, you Unvote
, then Vote: SomeoneElse
.
* A majority of votes by the living players is required to lynch. The number of players alive, and the number of votes needed to lynch will be posted in each vote count and will always be in the first post. You may Vote: No Lynch if you do not wish to lynch anybody during the day. Once a lynch (or No Lynch) has occurred, no changes in votes or pleas for survival will be accepted.
* I will implement and rescind deadlines as I see fit. No majority votes at deadline means No Lynch will occur.
* Once you have been killed, you are dead. A "Bah" post is acceptable, but no game-relevant information may be posted. This includes posts by a lynched player during Twilight.
* You may not edit or delete any posts. You may not use "invisible" text or [color=black] tags either.
* You may not communicate with any player outside the thread unless specifically stated in your role PM.
* You may not quote any out-of-thread communications, such as role PMs.
* Night choices must be submitted to me by the date and time as posted by the me during the lynch scene. Each night will last no less than 24 hours.
* If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.
* are reserved for my own use, in the event that I feel it is appropriate to edit or comment on another player's post. Anybody else posting in green italics will have their post edited or deleted by me, as appropriate.
* Have fun, be kind and considerate to the players and the moderator, and do your best!
Special Rules for MMMH:
- * Each of your posts may contain the following: One haiku, one quote of another post, and any additional Votes, Unvotes, FoSes, and IGMEOYs. You may not use numerous Voting actions to communicate via morse code or any other means.
* You may not post emoticons or ASCII/text images. (No, not even =====[] for "hammah.")
* You may not make more than two consecutive posts unless
you are making a post to edit a previous post to correct haiku syntax only
.
* You may not use [s] tags or symbols (&, $, /, etc.).
* Please be careful when using abbrevations. All abbrevations are to be read as individual letters for the purposes of counting syllables. "CES," for example is three syllables: "See Ee Ess." Exceptions: OMGUS (two syllables), M4yhem (two syllables, pronounced "Mayhem")
* You MAY
quote your role Haiku. You may NOT
quote any accompanying descriptions or explanations.
For reference: A haiku is a three-line poem which follows a specific form: The first and third lines are five syllables long. The middle line is seven syllables wrong. If you are unsure of the pronunciation of a word, try to find a different way of wording your post so that you can be sure you fit the five-seven-five form. I don't particularly care if you make mistakes or typoes, but try to be careful. As mentioned above, you're always free to edit via double-posts if you realize you made a mistake.
A sample Townie PM is as follows, wiht the pro-town win condition included:
Townie PM wrote:Glork -- Townie
Summer afternoon
A bumblebee is buzzing
Among the tulips
You win when all threats
To the town's safety have been
Eliminated
When you confirm, please acknowledge that you have read the special rules for this game.
Note, however, that each role haiku is unique. The italicized portion is the only portion of the actual role that may be quoted/claimed. Think of it as your "Rolename" to go with your "Role (which, in this case, would be Townie). Any additional role or ability information will also be in prose.
