"'Grandpa!' I shouted. 'Be careful! Oh, Gee!
Who's going to drop it?
Will you...? Or will he...?'
'Be patient,' said Grandpa. 'We'll see.
We will see...'"

The rules:
Standard rules (Somewhat stolen from Mith)
1. The game will start with day.
2. During Day, you may vote for the player you want to lynch. Votes should be bolded and in the form Vote: Player or they may not be counted. It is helpful, but not strictly necessary, to "Unvote" when switching your vote to a different player.
3. Whenever a player has a majority of votes, that player will be lynched as soon as the mods notices the lynching post. "Twilight" posts (posts made after the lynching vote was cast, but before night starts) are allowed.
4. If discussion lags or Day goes on for too long, a deadline may be set. The deadline might be postponed once if player participation picks up.
5. Do not talk outside the thread unless your role allows it. This is a modkillable offense.
6. If you're dead, you're dead. Do not talk AT ALL until the game is over, not even a bah post. Note that if a nuclear weapon has been launched at you, you will have 48 hours to act in whatever way you like before you are killed; you may talk during this period, but once the mod says you’re dead, you’re dead.
7. If you have any question, complaint, or comment, PM the Moderator.
8. Do not quote any PM's from the mod. Don't try to get around this rule by hinting at how many words were in the mod's PM to you, or what the first word of it was, or that the mod misspelled the fourth word in your PM, or by finding any other way to reveal the exact phrasing of the PM the mod sent you. This is a modkillable offense.
9. This is a game. Have fun.
Special rules for this game: read these VERY carefully
If there's any questions about the rules, please ask.
1. At any time during the game, if you have nuclear weapons, you may use them by posting
nuke:player
in the thread. This will act as a day-kill and will not end the day; however, note that the other player will have a chance to retaliate and nuke you right back before they die (hence the “mutually assured destruction”). No matter how many nukes are used, the day will only end when someone is lynched normally, when one side or the other has been defeated, or when the world is destroyed.
2. Once a nuclear weapon has been launched, there will be 48 hours before they strike their target, so the target will have that time to do anything they wish, including using their own nuclear weapons to retaliate against you. During that period, any normal activity can happen, including voting or any other player firing of more nuclear weapons; however, no lynches will happen until all the dust settles, so even if a lynching majority is caused during this time period, any player may still unvote before the 48 hours is up and no lynch will take place.
3. Note that if a player has stated
IN THE THREAD
that they will be away for more then 48 hours, the mod may extend the time they have to retaliate. So if you’re ever going to be gone for more then 2 days, say so in the thread.
4. If a player says “
nuke:player
” when they do not have any nuclear weapons or can not use their nuclear weapons for whatever reason, the mods will not reveal this fact until the 48 hours have passed. So bluffing is possible (although perhaps not wise).
5. Under normal circumstance, a player can only use nuclear weapons once per day. The exception is that a player who has nuclear weapons remaining in his stockpile ALWAYS has the option to retaliate against someone who has nuked them during that 48 hour period, even if that person has already fired nuclear weapons that day.
6.
If too many nukes are used over the course of the game, the world goes into nuclear winter and EVERYONE DIES. EVERYONE loses, both the town AND the scum.
7.
No one except the mod knows how many nukes will cause nuclear winter.
If that secret number is reached, everyone loses.
8. The scum (the rogue states) will win if they END a day or a night with 50% of the players in the game being scum.
So, the choices are up to you. Most players have nuclear weapons, and thus the ability to destroy any other player; however, if they nuclear weapons, they may have the ability to destroy you in return, and if too many nuclear weapons are used, everyone dies. But don’t worry, I’m sure no one is crazy enough to ACTUALLY push the big red button…right?
If you have any questions, please ask.
For reference, the townie PM looks like this:
You are XXX (pro-town)
You have X nukes.
You win if the rogue states are defeated without the world being destroyed with nuclear weapons.
So, if Italy was a pro-town player in the game, the PM would be this:
You are Italy (pro-town)
You have no nukes.
You win if the rogue states are defeated without the world being destroyed with nuclear weapons.
I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie
