Mini #89: SW: Emperors Hand

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Sat Jan 31, 2004 6:57 pm

Post by Vraak X »

Grand Moff Tarkin, head of the organization of Moffs, a legislative body that comprises of ruling system Moffs to determine the future course of the Empire, organized an emergency meeting after a Rebel attack on Coruscant, nearly damaging the Emperor’s own vessel, the Grand Facade. To prevent such an attack, the Grand Moff organized an action plan to prevent Coruscant from falling into Rebel hands. However, some of the Moffs would have loved for the Emperor to fall to his demise, and the Emperor knew of these discreet traitors. Therefore, the Emperor sent agents of the elite assassin group known as the "Emperor’s Hand" to "eliminate" all the Moffs in the meeting, including the loyal Grand Moff Tarkin. Grand Moff Tarkin, knowing of this threat, shut down Space Station Abydos completely from all outside contact. But it had been too late, for the Hands were already on board the station. The System Moffs had their guards point their blasters at each other. Now, aboard Abydos, the Moffs secretly stare at each other to the brink of insanity as they eliminate each other; one by one. Space Station Abydos now lays quiet.. the image seen ... a facade.. a quiet graveyard for those Moffs whose bodies lay within the station.. a memory sealed in the Imperial Files..

Rules SHAMELESSLY stolen from Werebear, who stole them from himself twice, then stole them off of MeMe. Slightly modified, though.
  • Nights will last exactly 48 hours. If you need an extension, then PM me. The deadline will always be posted in the thread.

Days will last as long as they need to, however, if you guys are dragging them out, I’m imposing a QUICK deadline.

    Votes must be in
    bold
. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted. If you are not counted, you do not exist. I, however, don’t believe in spankings.

Once a player has reached the necessary majority to lynch, the day is over. Unvoting them will not save their life.

No lynches are allowed, they require the same votes as a lynch.

The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread.

Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead.
GAME VARIANT: Stick around and watch the thread after your death. You’ll see why.

Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts. No matter what stupid thing you've done.

Feel free to quote PMs from me, if you’d like your head to be guillotined lettuce. DO NOT QUOTE THY MOD.

If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. The first time you miss a deadline, no choice will be made. The second time you miss a deadline, I will make a choice for you. This usually involves you walking up to the space port outside and shoving you off of Abydos.

If you're going to be gone any amount of time, let everyone know. Please.

    Enjoy!

The mod is god. Any mistakes such as inaccurate vote counts are obviously YOUR mistake. Please point out your mistakes so I can correct them. And if I ask you to stand on your head until you pass out, your response should be “SHOVE ME OUT THE DOOR, PLEASE! I WANT TO BE SUCKED INTO A VACUUM OF SPACE!” – Sacrifices of large, unmarked, large denominational bills accepted.
Role variant to the game: There are various twists and turns in this game of Mafia, please pay attention even after you’re dead. DO NOT POST, however, if you are dead and have had nothing affect you.
It is now NIGHT ONE. Submit all thy whinings, complaints, and of course, CHOICES through to me through PM at once, CHOP CHOP, POST HASTE!

Oh, and by the by, I'd prefer all submissions of night entries to be like this:

Forget about what I said about night entries, just make sure you get all your vital info in. K?

However, I understand all of you can't do it like this when under pressure or such, so this is the
RECOMMENDED
way of submitting your night choices.

Moff Sektor, a hated enemy of Emperor Palpatine's, rested quietly in the presence of his quarters. Meditating on the word of the Force, the only tool that could be truly used against that wretched Lord Palpatine, Sektor had no idea of the enemy that would come before him.

Slowly, the Emperor's hands crept through the door. With precise and accurate hits, the Emperor's hands eliminated the cook and the butler for Moff Sektor.

"Garand!" Moff Sektor shouted. "Where's my Bantha lard!" Sektor grew immensely impatient for a man of the Force.

"Coming," one of the agents replied, with a voice synthesizer in hand. Cylisobin T-1, a lethal poison, had been injected into the bantha lard. The Moff's room was completely dark, and besides the sound of candles flickering, it was rather difficult not to hear ANY sounds.

"Lay it right there," the Moff said as he was closing his eyes, concentrating on the Force.

"As you wish," the Emperor's hand said, synthesizer in hand. The bantha lard was placed next to a nearby table. Thirty minutes later, scrumptuous eating, and finally, a deafening roar could be heard, as Moff Sektor was choking and vomiting out a majority of his intestines. Within hours, Moff Sektor was dead, a victim of perhaps his own assurance, that a man of the Force could not die to something as humanly as poison.. perhaps not..

"Open the door!" Grand Moff Tarkin ordered, but there was no answer. Within hours, a security team opened up the doors, and the team found the dead body of Moff Sektor, lying there without motion. The other 11 Moffs looked in disgusting awe, and returned to the council chambers, where they all once again looked at each other with grim determination: to bring downfall to each other.

Yggdrasil: I'd suggest waiting a day or two before going off to sign up for another mini-theme game, you may/may not see why. Wait til the next night/day cycle happens, then sign up, if you still want to..

Ok, I'll wait around and watch this game.

Why do I always get killed night 1 in the themes I actually find interesting?

Vote Count
:
Zoneace - 1 vote (Gaspode)
EnPaceRequiescat - 1 vote (Dragon Slayer)
Isaac - 1 vote (Totem)
Chaotic_Diablo - 1 vote (Zoneace)
Smoke_Bandit - 1 vote (EnPaceRequiescat)
Gaspode - 1 vote (Morpheus)
Dragon Slayer - 1 vote (Prizm)

(*sniffs* My very first vote count... Let's just hope it's not my last..)

With 11 Moffs remaining on the tribunal, it will take 6 Moffs to create a companion for Yggdrasil's grave.

I have a question to anyone who's read the books. Are these Moff names (such as Moff Sektor) used in the books? Or were they made up?

I don't think I need to throw another random vote on the pile. I'll just wait to see what developes.

For the record, the Moff names were made up, minus a couple of them. I wanted to be unique for this game.

How do, Sirs and Madames.

I don't like random voting, so i'm staying quiet for now. Once I see a bandwagon worth jumping on, I'll start speaking up.

I read the series by Timothy Zahn in which the Emperor's Hand first made her appearance, but I don't remember there ever being a Moff Sektor. Actually, if I recall correctly, there were very few Moffs in that series, and the main Imperial was Grand Admiral Thrawn.
