Where have you been?

@Shos: What happens if a majority of people don't vote to drink coffee?

I don't entirely understand how the coffee stuff works yet but I don't really want to go to coffee phase real fast. It looks like once coffee phase starts we only have 48 hours to get a lynch together. So actually organizing a lynch could be difficult.

There are now four names that have posted in the scum qt, so the same scumbag can post under more than one name. Both of the posters could have been the same person.

LimMePls wrote:Why are you RVS'ing and ignoring someone begging to have the rules explained to them? Town wouldn't ignore the plea for help. Also, why didn't you ask the mod that question before now?

I didn't feel I had anything to add to SSBF's post right before mine. I also wasn't entirely certain about the rules myself.

I didn't ask shos before because I didn't realize that the rules don't specify what happens if a majority doesn't vote to drink coffee until the game started.

SSBF seems town. I don't think scum would come out calling to start the coffee phase so early. It's unlikely to work and very likely to draw heat.

I don't like Metal Sonic's . He's happy with the gamestate but isn't willing to actually contribute to advancing it. Guyett is in a similar situation but isn't as explicity complacent.
Unvote. Vote: Metal Sonic.

@Titus: Are you having trouble getting in to this game? You're play so far doesn't really feel like you.

Thestatusquo wrote:You didn't feel like you had anything to add to a post that was factually incorrect? So either you're lying or you're paying no attention at all. That's good to know.

I don't think SSBF got anything wrong in that post.

Untrod Tripod, nothing to say in regards to my post on you? Also I noticed your claim where you and Konowa claimed to be neighbors; I'm not inclined to move my vote away from you and I would not be surprised if one of you or Konowa are scums.

What does any of this have to do with Konowa being scum?

I can move my pseudo-vote if you want

I think we should agree to all vote the player who has the most pseudovotes when the coffee phase begins. Otherwise it'e likely things will devolve to chaos. It's hard enough to get a lynch together on mafiascum.net lately without only having 48 hours to do it. I'm not sure how we're going to deal with claiming though.

It was pretty obvious Konowa was talking about a neighbor qt. You really think scum would mak a slip like that? I'm not sure why Konowa wanted to reveal he and UT had a qt though.

Radically disagree with this. How was Guyett not "explicitly complacent"?

What I mean is Metal Sonic said RVS was over, meaning there were things to talk about. But he didn't comment on any of those things or add his own opinions. Guyett may not have felt anything interesting had happened yet, and at least his poss may have provoked responses. I still have Guyett as my number two suspect though, along with Titus. I've seen her sheep before, but not without adding more of her own thoughts as well.

I agree with LMP's ideas about how to handle the lynch.

I'm going to give people a chance to catch up before I vote. I'll vote in the morning if Lynx isn't lynched by then.

I think that most of the discussion should occur in the pre-drink phase(?), and that any changes from the final pre-drink vote to the drink vote should be explained. We had a similar mechanic at least once in Politics Mafia where the final vote came after "discussion" votes.

I think we should take a harder line on it than that. Did allowing changing votes after "discussion" work in Politics Mafia?

@everyone else: comment on this post please.

It's sensationalistic. Doesn't make him look more or less scummy to me. If I have a problem with Anatole it's that he's taking a naive view about Matt avoiding the Lynx wagon.

That said I have Matt as a pretty strong town read.

Vote: Metal Sonic.

PeregrineV wrote:As for Anatole, I said back in day1 he looks nothing like his Timeshift game (where he was scum, and I thought he was town because he was playing/trying/etc.). Since his scum meta is *doing something*, pretty sure his doing jack-shit in this game means he's town. I'm sad it's that way, but there you have it.

This is not how you do meta.

@SSBF:
What is your current read of Konowa?

My top scumreads are:

1. Metal Sonic: Don't like his , not advancing the gamestate even though hhe knows he should be able to. Doesn't seem to want to work together or cooperate with anyone. Like the wagon.

Metal Sonic wrote:I need Titus to answer my question.

I withhold my reads until I can get a good link to Titus

Seriously? You're question to Titus is just "are you scum?" How can the answer possibly have such a major impact on your reads?

2. Guyett: Doesn't seem to have any interest in having his voice heard or making an impact in the town. Those are things townies should always care about because if they give up their influence it just allows scum to take more control of the game.

I was going to put a third but I'm not sure I have one. Those two are clearly my two biggest scumreads. Maybe Titus/Konowa would be next.

Super Smash Bros. Fan wrote:Two things bother me about this post. Your scum reads are focused on the two easiest targets to lynch; one has a style that clashes with others (Metal Sonic) and the other seems to be more of a mention on lack of contribution rather than behavior (Guyett); which to me resembles more of anti-town play. The mention of Konowa also reads as a potential FOS: Scumbuddy, Vote: Townie.

My suspects are my suspects. Not caring about influencing things like Guyett is doing is something I've seen from scum several times. In fact in Ikaruga mafia which just finised a scum player was doing just that. It's not only anti-town but in my experience something more likely to come from scum. Also while it's true o one as said they townread Guyet, I don't think anyone else has said he's a top scumread either.

@Dry-fit: What do you mean when you say MS is "not advancing the gamestate even though he knows he should be able to".

That was specifically referring to his post 53. He said there was important stuff happening but he didn't say anything about it to advance the conversation.

I don't get the Anatole wagon.

Because I wanted to understand SSBF's read on him, which didn't seem to make sense. SSBF seemed to be saying that he suspected Konowa for being a neighbor. Which doesn't make sense. SSBF looked town otherwise but that was the one thing about him that was suspicious to me so I wanted to go into it.

Metal Sonic switching to Konowa when he's had me and SSBF as very strong scum reads all day  . I mean I know we don't look like iable lynches at this point but he didn't provide any reasoning for his vote or give any indication about his level of suspicion of Konowa relative to us.

Becuase I think we should vote the people with the most hypothetical votes when coffee phase starts. Otherwise thing get chaotic. Like they are right now. Plus the votes were split 4-4 I think between AK/Konowa and MS had 0.

AK and PV are such terrible options.

Because I had a signifigant preference of a Konowa lynch over an AK lynch. Also I don't think making a bunch of wagons during the small window we have to lynch is optimal. It worked out yesterday, but on average I think it's better to put votes on the leading wagon(s).
