The double mason-scum neighborhood is interesting, and kinda gimmicky in a way, but I think that’s the point.

Daytalk should be consistent between mafia and non-mafia by default.

If you want to give mafia and neighborhoods daytalk but not the masonry, as you wrote, you could make the mafia encryptors, which would give daytalk to all private topics that they are in. But I'd recommend against that because there's a chance it just gives away the entire setup through some coordinated setup speculation. Tbh if i get a role PM that says "you can communicate day and night in this topic, but only at night in this other one" i'd immediately get suspicious that there's something funky going on.
