There's a War going on in Heaven. Some of the angels are revolting against the Creator, who is nonetheless unwilling to directly intervene and kill any of his creations without cause. Therefore, the twelve of you will have to determine for yourselves who are the guilty parties, through trial and tribulation.

This is a Semi-Open setup, with Split Roles/Motives. What follows are
possible
town role PMs:

Doing so will increase your recharge time to 36 hours, rather than 24.

You begin the game with 10 HP. You win if all fallen angels are cast out, and at least one loyal angel survives.

Note:
If you must be replaced, 1 HP will be automatically subtracted from your role as punishment, unless you have a
very good reason.
If you think you this will be a problem, you may request /out of the game now without penalty. Otherwise, please confirm by PM or in thread that you understand this rule, and are ready to play.

  1. Ethical:

  2. Do not discuss the game
    by any means
    outside of this thread unless your role PM explicitly says that you may.
  3. Don't quote any PMs/private communication directly in thread. Likewise, once you are cast out,
    stop talking
    ; you can say your piece once the game is over.
  4. Don't edit/delete your posts, even if you have the privileges to do so. It violates the integrity of the game and can screw up the game thread. I will take care of duplicate posts or formatting errors upon request.
  5. Treat this game as a commitment, to me and your fellow players. If you're going to be gone more than 72 hours on a non-weekend, let us know. I reserve the right to replace you, but the other angels have the right to cast you out first.
  6. Lying is a sin

    to break a rule (quoting a fake role PM, for example) will garner the same punishment as actually breaking that rule.
  7. If you have to think about whether or not you're breaking the rules when you're about to do something,
    ask

  8. I reserve the command/color-combination for my own use; any other colored text is fine for you to use.
  9. Remember, it's a game. It's supposed to be fun. It's supposed to be interactive. Do your part.

    Mechanical:

  10. The Mod is still God (literally, in this case). There are some unusual features in this game; most are public, but not all. Feel free to PM me or ask in thread if something is confusing; I reserve the right to ignore the question or give misleading answers if it would compromise the game.
  11. There are no 'lynches' or 'voting' in this game for thematic reasons. Instead, you may either
    Hurt: player
    or
    Heal: player
    , once every 24 hours, to move them closer/further from being 'cast out' of the game.
    These actions must be in bold, and must use exactly that verb (the : is optional).
    Feel free to describe your attack or defence in
    italics
    afterward, though!
    Cool points if you can use a dead language...

  12. I will not provide damage tallies more often than every 12 hours, but will try to provide them every 24-48 hours if changes in health have occurred.
  13. Once someone reaches 0 HP, they will be cast out of Heaven (no Healing will help at that point) as soon as I return to the thread to pass Judgment; after that, they may no longer interact with the game thread or players in any way not specified by their role PM.
  14. Healing may not take someone more than 1 point above their original total HP. You may not Heal (or Harm) yourself.
  15. Damage levels are preserved even after someone is cast out! A sample tally will look like:
    First Damage Tally of the First Æon:

    Michael has taken 3 damage.
    Gabriel has taken 2 damage.
    Azrael and Belial have both taken 1 damage each.

    Metatron, Lucifer, and Vassago are all undamaged.
  16. This is a Nightless game, and should need no deadlines. If you anger your God through excessive sloth, I will very...
    upset
    (this includes someone deliberately standing aside from the conflict)
    .
    Replacements also incur my wrath; any role that needs to be replaced will lose 1 HP immediately.

  17. Any questions about player damage tallies (like vote counts), overall game mechanics, or prods/replacements for players, mention it in thread. You may preface them with

    to catch my eye, if that helps.

Clarifications thus far:
  • Remaining
    HP will not be shown, for obvious reasons; instead, damage

    will be shown in the tallies.

Are you asking or telling? I am not aware of any method it can be broken, obviously.
I have specifically unbroken the 'stand someone aside' tactic suggested by Pooky in the similar 2007 Marathon Day game. There are other factors I have accounted for as well.

So how are we going to go about this?

I think we should stick with a vote system of sorts. When someone gets a majority of votes we can all damage him at once and effectively lynch him.

Cuz I'm a fighter not a hurter. Also, I don't think we should wait for a majority to hurt people cuz I'm sure he mafias have powers of hurting people, so the stalling would be to their advantage.

I however do agree that a system for recording top suspicions would be nice.

AGree on all points. I think the system for recording suspicions could just be a votecount, though.

I agree, we just should vote and then when we decide the scummiest person, lets hurt him until he cant stand up.
So, I suggest that the people who alread hurt should heal his choice.
