MafiaScum will be hosting a Marathon Weekend from

Wednesday, September 2nd,

through

Tuesday, September 8th

! During this time, the

Marathon Forum

will be open for anyone to run and/or play in Marathon games: Mafia games intended to be played in a single sitting, usually lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours. We will be moving the Marathon Forum out into the main forum index soon. On the 2nd, the board will open.

last marathon weekend we let the evil overlord Datisi seize the Speedrunner Crown.

to the general populace, his reign has been a time of peace and prosperity.
our harvests have been plentiful.
our newbies have grown smart and strong.

but beneath that splendid exterior, our king has been running an evil spy network.

just last week three scummers were arrested under false accusations of treason.
and to make matters worse? his lackeys have kidnapped and imprisoned my bread.

jokes aside, i'd be keen to get a group of cool people together to smash out some marathons in this event.
so like, i'm sure that lots of awesome games will be run over the weekend. but bear with me here.
but given the length of the event, sometimes it's hard to bring together crowds for minis and stuff.
so i'm thinking if people are cool with setting some time aside, we can have a party!

i guess if people want to rock up sometime after this, we'll try and keep games running for a few hours at least?

We also have a Marathon Crew tag on the Official Mafiascum Discord. Head into the mafia discussion channel and type ?rank marathon crew to be added to the tag. Then the Marathon Crew can tag one another to help organize games come Marathon weekend time!

Well guess I'll open the marathon PT group so people can user private topic for marathons....Well crap its already open. Its been open since last time and both zoraster and I forgot to close and purge it last time....OOPS

Guess I'll just leave it open and try to remember to purge it when its done this time. I'd appreciate someone reminding me or zoraster to do this or perhaps we should welcome a third group leader to help us with that. Maybe T-bone since he did announce the marathon week. You want to join us on this T-bone?

As far as games go I may run the finalized version of "Dayless Everyone's a SK" at some point on the weekend
