Sure, knowing TH came from off-site (MU) first impression is probably something they would discuss in their PT if this is their first game and the likely would have been made known RVs is the common starting point here.In post 1499, Dannflor wrote:mena is still just town.
RCE talk about why TH likely town when you get a chance? that slot is currently the top wagon
If it's not they would already know rvs is the norm and there isn't much scum incentive to go against that. So likely just town.- RCEnigma

Page 8-9. Probably won't get farther until after my shift.
I'm aware menalque didn't, that's why it's not a hard buss theory. Think of it like preemptive distancing.
Also TH asking in a PT would be the natural thing, otherwise your first impression to the rest of the player list is playing to a dumb tell and it likely leads to a lynch down the line.- RCEnigma

Initially it was the reach vote on triplehaven. It seemed to me that dann latched onto something he could skew as scummy when it really wasn't. The argument you could technically make for it being scummy is triplehaven being worried about wagonomics down the line and where they line up but realistically scum don't go into any game looking to push the RVs leading wagon to a conclusion and certainly not within 2 pages. In post 1507, Marashu wrote:
I don't know where you're at in your catch-up, but would you mind explaining the Dann read?In post 1496, RCEnigma wrote:3 pages in, obligatory gut reads: triplehaven likely town, menalque prob town (that feels wrong to say on a couple levels) Hiraki antitown, dannflor antitown but maybe not the same team. Dramonic not aligned with Hiraki... So maybe town.
Then 160 reads phony since he contradicts the reasoning for his initial vote with information gained after the fact (TH giving the reason for their vote switch).
I think I generally default to scumreading dann due to a combination of our logics not aligning well and my perceived idea of what he is capable of as scum. I haven't seen it personally yet but I've heard of it from other players I respect enough.
He does seem to genuinely be evaluating his own reads, specifically on TH, to establish if he really scumreads who he says he does and that's good enough for me to focus elsewhere for the time being.
I still maintain he is not paired with Hiraki.- RCEnigma

You should be happy I am -at least- not meme'ing and shitposting enough. My mind is "elsewhere" for now, but I am "watching from the sideline" and will probably jump in sometime soon.In post 251, Menalque wrote:I’d like to see crush slot post and I still want to hear from dunn and A50
what does elsewhere in quotation marks mean
why are you implying that meme'ing and shitposting is scummy
wh
1- Why the quotation: Using capitals is considered "shouting". Using bold/italics is considered "asserting". Using "quotations" is kind of "hinting".
2- I just told you I was "hinting". What, you can't take a hint?
OK, here's another: This is not the only game I am playing, nor is this my "one and only" account.
3- I did no such thing. I myself use memes a LOT, and it becomes annoying to "some" players.
4- And as for the last "wh".. I guess it's only proper to respond with:

I'm not going to get into detail about Hiraki/menalque but I like dram's take on it minus getting to Dann!scum as a result.
It's kind of indicative there is at least 1 antitown involved since it took up a large majority of the early game and nothing useful came out of it. As in no one is interested in resolving it and leaving both slots increases mislynch potential.
Alternatively the antitown involved isn't confident in winning that battle(?) Possibly.- RCEnigma

I have an inverse read on Dramonic/teacher where I agree with where dramonic is landing but not the arguments. On the other hand Teacher has semi logical arguments I can follow along with but they aren't leading where they should, so I guess I'd describe his process as incomplete and empty. In post 1601, Bell wrote:Dramonic is my second strongest TR after Mena still.
It's hard for me to think he was acting when dumping that huge case on Haven in front of me with obvious exasperation.

I think there is a highly probability there is scum within you, Hiraki, menalque, maybe Dunn but I'm townreading him currently. Would you agree?- RCEnigma

Well I was mostly interested in why you weren't sorting or pushing there.
Why are you agreeing with me if all 4 of the slots I mentioned are either you or your strongest townreads? (I have now iso'd you in a minor capacity)- RCEnigma

Thanks A50.In post 1663, Marashu wrote:
What I get out of it is scum doesn't want to eliminate Jake. If Jake is scum, then it stands to reason his partner doesn't want to eliminate him. If Jake is town, it could be that scum just wants another claim. They might also be suspecting that Jake is part of the other scum team and don't want him removed yet, because scum don't know whether someone is town or part of the other scum team.In post 1662, RCEnigma wrote:Err assuming you're town as well then scum just... Don't want to lynch town today?
That's what I'm getting out of that. Also conflicts with the sentiment scum is content with the gamestate, what do you think of that stance A50?
As for scum being content with the gamestate, I propose something different: 7/13 players have swapped out. It is very likely that at least one scum player has swapped out. I think it's possible that there's scum in a member who replaced in, who doesn't yet fully understand the game state and doesn't want to disrupt it for fear of standing out.- RCEnigma

This isn't jiving with me? Your last readslist had PP on a scum tier and you two haven't had breakthrough interactions since then so walk me through your townread there. In post 1735, teacher wrote:and good TR of PP since replacement, gives their position some weight as well
Also fypov me/Dunn/ presumably Jake leaves 1 antitown slot making the Jake wagon a majorly town guided wagon regardless of input from the inactive off wagon slots no?- RCEnigma

I've voiced a townread on dann and bell wasn't on the wagon at the time.In post 1800, teacher wrote:
True, but the thing is (and what made it have scum tingles) is that -- by not naming names -- the post also applied just as much to Dann and Bell's positioning the same day and left you in a good position to push whatever way the wind was blowing and claim white knight cred/resisting the lynch. In post 1779, RCEnigma wrote:

Dunno how I'd be shading slots on the wagon that weren't actually on the wagon.
But I will acknowledge that Dann moving onto the Jake wagon disappointed me. Didn't change my read. That post was for you and to discourage people voting a slot they think can flip town over pursuing their actual scumreads.- RCEnigma

Late on this, Almost hit it on the head in the mafia pt. Also Dunn has a habit (fmpov) of poking trivial low info points as scum and generally throwing hard reads. The way he approached Teacher generally came off as "I can sort this slot myself so I don't really have to push that hard".In post 2148, Bell wrote:We didn’t know he was an investigator, we just thought he was a power role.
Dunno why rce thought it.
For me it was because when mena voted him and he voted him back it felt implied.
I also wasn’t familiar with dunn’s Lurky meta, he was more present in my other newbie game and I thought he was trying to make scum Choose between nking a potential mis-elimination that was actually a power role or killing obvious town. That’s a tough spot to be in, but role blocking solves that.Copyright © MafiaScum. All rights reserved.
