Activity & Deadlines

• Each day will last 168 hours (2 weeks).
  
• Each night will last 48 hours (2 days).
  
• Deadline for each phase will be in the first post of this thread.
  
• Prods will be delivered after 48 hours of inactivity.
  
• You must react to my prods by posting in the thread within 24 hours, or I will start looking for a replacement.
  
• On your 3rd prod, I will start looking for your replacement regardless of whether or not you answer the prod.
  
• If you know that you are going to be away for more than 48 hours, please post in the game thread
  in bold
  the duration of your V/LA.
  
• Deadlines will be granted at mod discretion. All deadline extensions will be announced in the thread.

General Rules

• All site rules apply.
  
• Play to your win condition.
  
• Do not make personal attacks.
  
• Do not edit or delete posts.
  
• Do not quote any PMs that I send you. You may also not quote directly from any messages sent by anyone in any PTs. Paraphrasing is allowed. If you are unsure whether something you want to say violates this rule, then check with me first via PM.
  
• Do not use any form of provable randomness. This includes posting proof of random number generators or using the dice tag. Claiming you did something randomly is fine as it's unprovable.
  
• Do not pretend to break the rules. An example of this would be posting a role card that you claim the moderator sent you, even if it is not actually your role.

Gameplay

• Votes are only counted if you use a vote tag or bold the vote, e.g. VOTE: Rockhopper and
  vote: Rockhopper
  .
  
• Unvotes are not necessary before changing your vote.
  
• You may vote for a no elimination.
  
• Majority elimination. Once an elimination has been achieved, the game will enter twilight, and votes and unvotes will no longer be counted.
  
• During twilight, player may continue post in the thread until it is locked, including the player who has just been eliminated.
  
• If a majority is not reached before the day countdown runs out, the day will end in a no elimination.
  
• Failure to submit a night action before the night countdown runs out will result in no action.
  
• Scum players may submit factional abilities on their teammates' behalf.
  
• Do not post after you have been killed. This includes bah posts and posting in any PTs (Dead PT excepted).

Please exercise common sense and adhere to the spirit of these rules.

Load the Deck is an open game for 13 players, created as an update to Stack the Deck. It uses modern role terminology and updates the roles list while maintaining the core pre-game selection mechanic.

Role Selection

During pre-game, the Mafia Goons, Mafia Traitor, and Vanilla Townie roles are distributed to the playerlist. The Mafia have 24 hours to select any of the follow modifications to be applied to the team (up to three) assigning which Goon or Traitor gets the additional abilities. For each modification the Mafia select, an additional modification is granted to the town (up to three). Town can then be randomly given new roles, two plus additional roles granted by mafia (up to three for a max of five).

- Recruiter (killing Traitor recruits instead, can't go to traitor)

- Innocent Child (revealed start of Day 1)
