Yes it's only 3 votes but scum can pile up. One scumteam voting him + someone else voting is already E-2 which could be lolhammered (denying town discussion) or out a strong PR early. I wouldn't be scared if it was a few pages later and a legitimate reason to SR him.

If you're Scum you should shut up, and if you're Town you should SHUT UP. Here's why:

As scum you tend to chainsaw your partners, so those who know you (myself included) will take note of it. If you are Town I don't know that; thus will still take note of it and will suspect you are Scum chainsawing a buddy. Result: Kitty gets eliminated (which would be good if Kitty is Scum ,but would put you in trouble regardless of your alignment). If Kitty is Town then your interference is bad for them and for the Town, and once they do flip Town you'll probably be accused on WKing still (again; regardless of you alignment). In short, I guess what I'm saying is I don't trust you and don't see a realistic chance that I will in the foreseen future. I like the person you are (which should go without saying) but until you flip I'd advise you to double check or even treble check every letter you type.

Now do you want to put yourself in the spotlight and risk being shot by their team, or do you want to appear "supportive" to them and probably just shoot them at night?

What value would it have to whiteknight anyone who you think could flip scum? What value would it have to pocket anyone who you think could be potential rival scum?

That said: When I played as SK (once I think, and I won) I used a strategy of mislimming Town by day and hunting for Scum at night. This way the Scum team did not put me up as a priority NK. I think we are likely in 2/2/1 or else 3/3 where there's a restriction on factional killing power (like one team is odd night kills, other team is even etc.)

I don't think 3 kills a night makes much sense. 17 >> 13 >> 9 >> 5 = theoretically Town could be annihilated completely by D4. I mean, it's possible but not very probable IMHO

3- They were high or drunk
4- They have different role (many people act totally different when they're VT than when they are TPR)

6- Depression

I think the only key difference between this game vs a regular game is that bussing doesn't work because it nullifies any town cred you would otherwise gain from it in a normal game. i have no idea how this relates to our current situation. i just want to put it out there for everyone to stew on.

That, and counterclaims don't semi-clear the CCer as they could be from a different scum team. Which could be what's happening with T3 and Elsa but... doubt it. I think both scum teams would have the same shotting on their neighborizers, if both have them.

If we lim Mafia -> 5-1-1 and "it's complicated". Maybe they both kill each other. maybe one kills the other and the other kills townie. Or maybe they both aim for town (could be same town or 2 different ones). Worst case -of course is 2 kills on Town -> 3-1-1

If we mislim -> 4-2-1 and again it's complicated, but the worst case is 2-2-1 (significantly worse than 3-1-1)

I think it doesn't mater much if we lim the WW or a Mafioso today. It is important though that we do not mislim (and THIS is why I am hesitant).

Yeah. The Gamma no result makes it more likely HEM blocked Gamma on N1, I agree. But he did block someone on N3. If that was Dwlee; why did he announce it? If it wasn't then whom?

I mean, HEM was obviously hunting for the WW on N3. Right? The WW kill did go through, so whomever HEM blocked isn't it. Now why would he lie about it if he blocked someone OTHER than Dwlee? The only answer is rather than clearing a Townie he opted to clear his own partner. But that doesn't make much sense either because the minute HEM flipped his "partner" Dwlee is caught too.

Firstly its so nice just having some more sane people playing. I was slowly losing my mind reading the thread up until Iec's entrance.

I think Gamma/Iec/Titus/Cyrus are town without equivocation. Also very much liking Testa's entrance as well.

My priority is to sort Elsa and Kitty. Both egregiously play against their alignment whatever it may be, which generally I don't try to fault the players for but each has both had multiple games of experience on site and each has had the audacity on different occasions to refer to other players as "LHF" and "stupid town" and "miselim bait".

I have no idea how I will do that with Kitty. In a vacuum their recent vote looks both shallow, opportunistic, and not original. This lazy posting isn't new. Perhaps some sort of meta dive has to be done just like it must be done for Elsa.

I'm going to read the game Iec linked to see if this is standard for her town play too or if I notice any relevant differences. @Almost unless I missed it I'd still like a scum game of Elsa's. It's been my interpretation that your vote on Elsa is serious and that you think they are acting as they do when scum.

Finally with regards to HEM I will check whether his queries have amounted to substantive scumhunting or if they are but puffed up chestbeating as Gamma/Iec think. My impression of the slot is that I tend to agree with the content he says, which is always a good sign but have not established a stronger town read because of the way he says it.

I did not find the series of posts that made ndMath townread Titus particularly convincing. The first was nonsense, and the latter two are imo bland.

Nero: felt in the background but he's okay with my death too it seems. Last time I played him I think he was scum and did jack day 1. So considering he's solving a bit, nulltown.

HEM: The big guy. Frankly if I think about it, he's not really scumreading me because of my actions. He just doesn't understand my style at all. If that's the case, might actually be town. If faking that and just is trying to kill me for easy day 1, obviously scum. But the first seems more likely to me now.

It's true that Andres (and I) joined the game to play with Dan. I doubt he would kill Dan if scum in this situation (like, I'd suspect he wants to play with Dan more than he wants to win, even if scum), though he could be on whichever team didn't kill Dan.

"Simple" seems very weak in this set-up given the flips and claimed roles so far, especially with limited-shot being added.

With the knowledge that the neighborhood exists, I think A50's behavior is null (unless the neighborhood is all town, and then his prior probability of being town is low, anyway). This is because scumA50 would already be aware of the neighborhood and would have the information necessary to play this out.

Like, disregarding my own reads and going by what I've just quoted I think neither cyrus nor Nero stand a chance of being Mafia here, while Dwlee is definitely not WW. I am trying to make the best decision under the circumstances. If Ythan is Town (say) we already lost, because he won't be of much use to Town in the final 3 anyway. HOWEVER, as Dwlee pointed out.. if we remove Town!Ythan (again, hypothetical assumption here) Scum have more incentive to cross-kill and -possibly- granting us the win still.

If I went Dwlee/Nero and hit scum, then either you or me gets shot by the remaining scum and then it's one of us vs "unknown" Ythan and "suspect" Nero/Dwlee (which I probably would have been fine with if I was guaranteed to die tonight so YOU can go through that hell).

Even if we hit TOWN between Dwlee/Nero (meaning we go into night as 2-1-1) I doubt Ythan makes the correct kill, and thus the surviving Scum of the two wins the game.

Basically, I was on "auto-pilot", as I know I usually get it wrong when I change my mind in the final hurdle, so I decided to go for what I perceived to be the best choice at the start of the day and neglect all the noises after that point.
