Newbie 1926: Baseball (Game Over)

Heya!

I have a pretty good amount of experience (few years I think?) when it comes to forum mafia, so I'm just here to try out different forums and test my skills elsewhere

I have already read everything so here are my thoughts:

Reds want to seem as unrelated to each other, especially in the beginning of the game, so I think there is one red in these two groups.
Group 1: whig, Shoshin, the worst, Marcus325 and u r a person 2
Group 2: Lavender, Ryno56, and Godmind
(I have made these groups based on who is talking to who more)

In group 1, I am unsure. u r a person 2 and Shoshin's posts seem to be the most off from just a first glance. I feel like there is an 'effort' from these people to make themselves look green. I don't really have much else to say since it is only day 1.

In group 2, I think Lavender is green and that Ryno56 might be red. The reason is because Lavender has gotten 3 votes already and there really hasn't been much flack to make this vote look controversial. I also think Ryno56 because he seems to be reluctant to why he is positive that Lavender is red, although for being somewhat aggressive on this vote, I can give him the benefit of the doubt.

I need to think about the others more...

Ryno, if you're worried about lack of chat, then how about ask some questions? Also to be completely honest, I don't understand your logic that well.

Don't want to tell you atm. I doubt I can convince the group for to do a D1 lynch so it doesn't help to spill the beans. Just - see if you can read it yourself and let me know

Why should I tell you NOW? As opposed to later?

If they do find your read and let you know. Then they will tell others too. So why say, let others read their take and show everyone else, and not just let yourself reveal your read?

That's a bad faith move and is easy to work around

Teasing with half baked responses and scumreading people for tells you never go into kills the gamestate and is very unlikely to get the lynch you want across the line

I doubt you've got a tell on someone you haven't played before that's so reliable it's in your best interests to keep it quiet (for example if you have a reliable player meta tell this might work. but not really if it's a complete stranger).

gamestate is currently paralysed around whether Lav will produce more content and -- imo -- whether you'll elaborate on your scumread of her. also lolweekends

I think his realtimes were within his scumrange but less likely to come from scum!him, his lazy townbin on me is believable but not convincing, and the fact he's not exciting the gamestate is pinging me slightly

other slots I want more pressure on tho for now

I don't think it's solved, but it's a solid enough basis for a day 1 lynch and I'm feeling pretty good about you and shoshin. This style isn't one I expect from scum you because a) I suspect you wanted to try it because shoshin and I were in the game and b) It's a great way to get shoshin and I a bunch of town reads if you are scum

Lemme go take another quick glance at Lav but I think their response to (i think it was) Ryno's pressure was super town? It was basically, hey, engage with me

Yeah, mate. You know how I don't like self defense posts or really engaging with scum reads on me? If I didn't have that aversion, I would approach it like Lav approached ryno.

It's not omgus, but there is a little bit of half-spoken scum read for ryno not engaging and it reminds me a lot of my own play when I don't want to pronounce a scum read on someone because I'm trying to get them to engage with me and I'm trying to reel them in like a fish on a line

and the whole thing seems like a very nuanced approach for newb!scum

I don't have town reads on marcus or whig really. I was headed towareds one with whig but he poofed. So if I'm whiffing on my SRs, probably scum in that couplet

RYNO'S MASTER PLAN:

My aim was to push a scum into frustration by accusing them with little/no reason. Lavender was the victim, and I think it payed off. They very quickly became fixated on WHY I was reading them as scum, which comes across to me as the 'scum newbie annoyed they got caught out early in the game' and they wanted to know if I genuinely was reading them (and if so, HOW ON EARTH) or the self-assuring knowledge that I was bullshitting. All of which seems like scum-thinking to me. Plus the lynch votes probably made them nervous/backed into a corner. There's a tendency to run away with worry - 'oh no, i'm suspected from the start, i'm going to get lynched'. A townie would be much more focussed on making their own reads. See the following...

'Ryno, My eager to please thing you have of me, is it because of my answering questions?'

'Can you tell me what made you think that of me?'

'Ok, but can you to tell me where you get this feeling from?'

'That's quite bold, can you tell me where I have been scummy?'

'Well I really want to ask why Ryno has any big evidence for voting me and such. But they seem very inclined not to give that information.'

I hereby rest my case against Lavender. Although, I would suggest that with only 2 scum, we don't need to lynch until F5.

Looking through the posts I find whig and godmid slightly scummy as their posts seem to just be content and not really contributing.

Not sure on ryno and lavender but leaning more town than scum
Robotnick's posts were gathering info more although they had limited posts so slight town lean on Robot/Denmon
